Oldhammer paint recommendations and tips

Hello, I'm looking for recommendations on paint that I can use to mimic that classic 'eviy meatal style. I'll be painting old school Ultra marines (I know, I know, how original of me)
and would preferably like stuff more on the cheaper side of things (Poorhammer all the way, baby!). I'm also looking for tips on how to paint them. I'm definitely more of a beginner, and I don't have the steadiest hands ever, but I think I'm ok at it. I also have an airbrush setup. and as for priming, white or black, or should I use slapchop or zenithal, or some other technique I haven't heard of before. Almost all the videos I can find use the original paints from 1993, and I'm having trouble finding a tutorial that is using stuff that isn't unobtanium.

Thanks in advance!

I honestly forget where I ended up getting them from. And I didn’t note it in my blog.

And yes, they behaved a lot different from modern paints. A lot of the normal paints had coverage issues. And the inks were actual inks. You could use them to tint/glaze. Not like modern washes, but closer to how contrast paints behave.

Have you ever airbrushed with them? And if so, how did it go? That's definitely a priority for me, as I tend to work on things in batches, and I keep hearing mixed things as to whether you can. Another thing I was looking at was Warcolour Nostalgia 94 line
