The pieces are great. The photography too!
not nitpicking, because it looks great, but one thing I've picked up from others is that for liquid blood, adding just the slightest of slight amounts of blue or green makes for a good effect. |

The blood is dyed with a mix of red, blue and a tiny amount of brown. If I were to use pure red resin dye it would have come out fire-engine red, which is definitely not the color of blood. We actually matched it just about spot on to real blood. (I've cut myself doing this enough times to have plenty of reference.) Some of the overhead lighting may be reflecting off the river in a couple pictures and changing the appearance of the blood slightly, but the "darker" views show the color more accurately.. |
