This guy took me forever...i originally received him as a gift at Christmas 2011, and i started off painting him with fairly natural skin tones, and then i lost my painting mojo for him, I couldn't quite move things along... cue feb this year, I'd just moved house and un-packed him, and i had a flash of inspiration, and used one of the new gw glazes, specifically the green one, this immediately changed the tone to a sickly yellow green, another couple of layers and hey presto....I also used Tamiya clear red to give the glossy raw flesh areas their sparkle, as well as some judicious use of forgeworld rust pigment with a little white spirit and then dry brushed off, followed by a very light drybrush of boltgun metal over the affected areas. |
