Nice scheme, but as per your comment re: wet blending. Your paint is way too thick still... Add more water your mix and I feel your blends will smooth out. Keep practicing I really like where you are heading |

lyeah f'sure. The paint was really thinned out with retarder medium but needs to be thinner still. Next one is a WS so try even thinner layers on that. The wraithlord was using about 50/50 paint to retarder (Ithink) |

Ive found that using a wet pallete and simply adding water works better than paint retarders...have you tried both ways? Regardless of your practice, the model still looks really nice:)

Cheers. Was really happy how she turned out. I havent tried using a wet palette/water yet. Definitely will give that a go for the next one. I've been out of the hobby for over 10 years ands just getting back into it. The wraithlord's the 9th or 10th fig I've done since I restarted. Loving relearning/remembering all techniques n that. Really is one of the best hobbies going :) and thx a million for the feedback btw - really helps :D |
