				<description><![CDATA[ It's that time again my pretties. <br /> <br /> Players will control and direct a nation in an attempt to take control of the world or simply do what they wish. Players will have six moves every turn (24 Hours) to direct their government, research, wage war, ect.<br /> <br /> Players can select and rule a modern nation OR they may create one and have it placed on the map. Created nations will be on par with an "average" nation with one aspect of specialty. (See factors)<br /> <br /> SAMPLE:<br /> <br /> Player A: Mexico<br /> <br /> 1. I'd would delight in increasing taxes a slight.<br /> 2. I'd would delight in expanding agricultural sectors.<br /> 3. I'd would delight in increasing funds towards military research.<br /> 4. 				<title>Lazarus: Drowning in Darkness</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ [i]I know a secret. When I wake up, I see things you should never see when you're awake, but when I close my eyes, [b]they're[/b] always waiting for me. I sleep whenever I can, my nightmares are often better than my reality. When I wake up, the nightmare is still there, mocking me. Twisting and warping, it...it wears their faces. It laughs at me, telling me my failings, that I'm not strong enough to stop it, that one day soon, it will become a part of me, and me of it. That thing, the Nightmare, it told me the secret. Something so terrible, that I...I can't remember it, no matter how hard I try. When I try to remember, all I hear are names; Emilie, Scott, Rachel, Gaz, James, Nick, Dez... I think one of them is mine, but I don't know which. I see things, too. Creatures wearing their faces, merging together, creating the Nightmare. And singing, always singing, and telling me to sing their songs. Part of me wants to join them, to leave this empty existence behind, and become a part of something greater. But then I look further, and I can hear them screaming. The faces, they're in pain. They don't want to sing the songs, but the Nightmare makes them. The faces, they want me to free them somehow, but the Nightmare won't let me. When I'm awake, I can still hear them screaming. I don't know what day it is, or even the year, hell, I don't even know who I am. Maybe I'm one of the faces, screaming endlessly in pain as I am forced to sing a song the Nightmare taught me. The only thing I know is that I'm drowning. Drowning in darkness.[/i]<br /> <br /> [b]The Past[/b]<br /> It's been 20 years since NI Day, since the UN was smashed by the alien invaders. The N'<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>ss</span> left after ensuring we would never be able to mount a counterattack. They bombed cities, left entire nations as piles of dust. What followed was worse than what anyone could have ever imagined. The remaining UN outposts were brutally smashed by a faction known as the Conclave, led by a megalomaniac known as the Voice. The Conclave wasted no time in consolidating it's power and bringing the populace under control. The next few years were marked by a violent pogrom against free thinkers and any that refused to bow to the Voice. In the end, the Conclave had killed more than the N'<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>ss</span> and the Terran Civil War combined. It only got worse when they found out about Project Lazarus. The UN had set up a contingency  plan in case they lost the war. They intended to find a way to raise the dead, negating the damage the N'<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>ss</span> had wreaked on Earth. 2 years ago, something whent wrong, and flesh eating monsters roamed the Canadian plain. Now the Conclave wants the power to create undying soldiers, so they headed for the Lazarus Facility in Canada. The Lazarus Guard and a group of resistance fighters from the states drove them off, but not after discovering something much, much worse than zombies and ghouls... They found Vault 17, and unleashed the horrors within. The resistance fighters managed to kill the Hive Mind that was controlling the Mycomorphs in the Vault, and the facility was thought secure. Now, both the Conclave and the UN Remnant are seeking it out. The UN to fix their mistakes and create true life, and he Conclave to create a new breed of super-soldier.<br /> [b]The Present[/b]<br /> [i]Two years have passed since the Lazarus Affair, a bid by both the UN and the Conclave to secure the Lazarus Facility, a massive science station attempting to reanimate dead tissue to mitigate the losses suffered during the N'<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>ss</span> War. Project Lazarus was a failure, all those within were either killed or became something far more than human, and something far less. During the initial attack, the UN and Conclave forces suffered near total losses, with a single squad of UN soldiers making it out alive. During the evacuation, the UN lifted Herbert West and Strelok Tauben, two Lazarus scientists and components of the Lazarus Guard. Rather than see the Facility fall to the Conclave, the UN called down an orbital strike, blasting it to rubble even as the Conclave arrived. Now, the UN prepares to strike at Conclave held Chicago, to liberate the city from the hands of the Voice, the enigmatic leader of the Conclave. This is where our story begins, with the UN preparing for Operation Anvil... [/i]<br /> <br /> [b]Factions[/b]<br /> <br /> [b]Conclave[/b]<br /> The Conclave is the current reigning faction in the remains of Earth, crushing any resistance with an iron fist. Their populace is composed of emotionless dull-eyed drones, who trudge about seeking to please the Voice with their labors. Their soldiers are distinctive in their gas masks and black uniforms. Original thought is a crime in the Conclave, and the law is enforced brutally by shotgun toting Enforcers. <br /> <br /> [b]Soldier[/b]- The basic footman of the Conclave's endless army. <br /> Starting Equipment: Machine Gun, body armor, medikit, pistol, 5 grenades<br /> [b]Enforcer[/b]- The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>de</span> facto gestapo of the Conclave, Enforcers prowl the streets with their shotguns, meeting out punishment on free thinkers and non-conformists alike.<br /> Starting Equipment: Shotgun, medikit, riot armor, 3 nerve gas grenades, riot shield<br /> [b]Thought Policeman[/b]- These psychics patrol the streets, hunting down thought criminals and resistance members.<br /> Starting Equipment: Reaper Pistol, flack vest<br /> Special Rules: Psychic (see below)<br /> [b]Ghost[/b]- Cloaking snipers that can kill whole squads before they even know he's there.<br /> Starting Equipment: Sniper Rifle, flack vest, cloaking device, combat knife, pistol<br /> [b]Phantom[/b]- The utterly lethal Phantoms trail their prey under the cover of a powerful cloaking device, tearing into them with wicked neural-scythes. <br /> Starting Equipment: Reaper Pistol, flack vest, neural-scythe, cloaking device<br /> [b]Engineer[/b]- The technicians of the Conclave are unique, as they are allowed to develop personalities to help them come up with creative solutions to problems.<br /> Starting Equipment- Flack vest, pistol, multi-tool, servo-arm, 3 demo charges<br /> <br /> [b]UN Remnant[/b]<br /> The Remnant has fallen on hard times, the Conclave constantly hammers them in combat, and recruitment has dropped to near nothing in the past months. They fight a desperate war against a seemingly unstoppable foe. <br /> <br /> [b]Soldier[/b]- The basic footman in the UN army.<br /> Starting Equipment: Machine Gun, body armor, medikit, pistol, 5 grenades<br /> [b]Heavy Assault Trooper[/b]-  The heavy assault trooper is the shock and awe unit of the Remnant, dropping down on enemy positions and dealing incredible damage with their Ripsaw guns.<br /> Starting Equipment: Ripsaw Machine Gun, PLEX armor, medikit, pistol, 5 grenades, 2 det packs<br /> [b]Sniper[/b]- Marksmen renowned for their ability to pick off foes at insane distances with their long rifles.<br /> Starting Equipment: Sniper Rifle, pistol, flack vest, 3 nerve gas grenades<br /> [b]Psych[/b]- UN psychics that are trained to root out traitors in their ranks.<br /> Starting Equipment: Reaper pistol, flack vest<br /> Special Rules: Psychic (see below)<br /> [b]Jump Trooper[/b]-Using experimental jet-packs, the jump troopers take to the skies, bringing death from above.<br /> Starting Equipment: Assault Rifle, body armor, medikit, pistol, jet-pack<br /> [b]Engineer[/b]- When a bridge needs to be built, or a factory bombed, the UN calls in an engineer. <br /> Starting Equipment- Flack vest, pistol, multi-tool, servo-arm, 3 demo charges<br /> <br /> [b]RULES[/b]<br /> To perform an action, simply state what you want to do. The game is played In Character, and everything you do or say will apply directly to your character. If you are speaking out of character, be sure to write <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(481);'>OOC</span> before you post. To perform an action, you will be given a Challenge Threshold (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(436);'>CT</span>, often 1-10). In order to successfully pull off your action, you must pick a number within that range. If you are within 2 units of that number (EX: Target number is 6, you choose 4. Your action is a success because 4 is two numbers away from 6). The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(524);'>GM</span> (me) always picks the target number. Equipment and circumstance may change the target number and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(436);'>CT</span> of a task. This a casual <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(293);'>RP</span>, and long-from posts are discouraged, as Lazarus is all about stark terror and quick actions. That is not to say you can post your actions in less than three or more sentences, however. Be descriptive, don't just say, "Varz goes through the door," say, "Varz peers into the blood-soaked chamber before him, smelling the coppery tang of crimson fluid as he hesitantly steps through the threshold." <br /> [b]WARNING: THIS GAME IS LETHAL![/b]<br /> Chances are, a couple of you are going to die over the course of the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(293);'>RP</span>, whether another player hits you with nerve gas or a Vivisector cuts you into your component pieces. When your character dies, you can make a new one, and I'll fill in how they enter into the current scene.<br /> I must ask that everyone use the format below  for their character.<br /> [b]BASE STATS[/b]<br /> (Rules written by BerserkSteve) <br /> You have 20 points to divide among your stats, but you must have a minimum of 1 in each stat. The maximum point value for any stat is 6, but can be raised higher by mutagens or other effects. <br /> Strength, The ability to carry heavy objects and inflict more damage with your strikes.<br /> Agility: A person's speed and dexterity. This is how well they can dodge and hit an enemy.<br /> Toughness: How healthy and fit you are. This is for resisting damage.<br /> Will Power: Your ability to reason. This will help you use psychic powers and your ability to find and notice things.<br /> Intelligence: This is knowledge. This is how much you know and how well you know it. This is for performing complex skill tasks like computers, history, math, writing and medical.<br /> Charisma: This how well you can communicate with and lead people. This will help with leading and persuading people. Clearly only works on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(348);'>NPCs</span>. <br /> [b]SCARS OF LAZARUS[/b]<br /> If you are playing a character who was involved in the Lazarus Affair (as seen in the Lazarus <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(293);'>RP</span>), you may select one advantage and one disadvantage. If you choose an advantage, you MUST choose a disadvantage, and vise versa. Below is a list of some examples of advantages and disadvantages. <br /> [b]ADVANTAGES[/b]<br /> [b]Alert[/b] Having fought through hordes of the horrible once-men, you have learned to expect the unexpected, and as such are more aware of your surroundings.<br /> [b]Jaded[/b] Nothing in your life was as horrific as the Lazarus Affair, and you are immune to the mundane terrors of this world.<br /> [b]Strategic Dismemberment[/b] You've killed enough mycomorphs in your time to know that a well timed removal of a limb can mean the difference between life and death. <br /> [b]DISADVANTAGES[/b]<br /> [b]Necrophobia[/b] In your experience, the dead rarely stay dead, and you have an acute fear of the dead and their sightless, blank eyes.<br /> [b]Flashbacks[/b] You suffer horrific flashbacks at the most inopportune times, fighting battles long since past. <br /> [b]Dementia[/b] Your mind has snapped since the Lazarus Affair, and you can see the shapes of mycomorphs everywhere, whispering their secrets to you in the dark. <br /> <br /> [b]PSYCHIC POWERS[/b]<br /> Both the Conclave Thought Police Officer and the UN Psych are psychic, allowing them to use psychic powers. All powers are subject to the standard rules for all tests. As a psychic, you can perform both telepathic and telekinetic feats. The two axes Myarnir and Minnormir were at the time weilded by Groshnik's father and mother respectively, whom were both famous warriors and renowned throughout the land for their many victories on the battlefield. Both Groshnik and his younger brother Grobnik were raised to become mighty warriors as well, and it wasn't long before they to were fighting against the many foes that besieged them at Karaz Grundruf. When Groshnik was 132 years old, he and his brother were defending Karaz Grundruf from an invasion of Chaos Dwarves whilst his parents were off fighting goblins. It was just as the siege was nearing its end when a messenger somehow broke through the enemies lines. He told Groshnik that his mother and father were quickly losing their battle against some new foe they had never come across before, and that they needed their help of they were going to survive. The messenger then went insane and threw himself from the castle walls.Stirred into action by their love for their parents, Groshnik and his brother broke the siege, taking many casualties as a result, and then imediatly set out to rescue their parents. Unfortunately, by the time they got there, Groshnik's parents as well as their entire army was dead. No evidence could be found on who it was that had masacered so many able bodied dwarves, so Groshnik took up the axe Myarnir and his brother Minnormir, and the two vowed that they would not rest untill they had avenged their parents deaths. When they returned to Karaz Grundruf, they found that it had been ransacked and then burned to the ground by yet another unknown foe. There were no survivors of the battle, and having failed their people so horribly, Groshnik, Grobnik, and all their warriors sentenced themselves to live out the rest of their hopefully short lifes as slayers. Over the next 85 years the number of slayers following Groshnik has been constantly changeing, both from old slayers finally acomplishing their goal of death, and other new slayers coming to join their sorry ranks. But with the death of Gengis Khan comes a rift in the Mongolian hordes. The conscripts of Russia, China and Persia have banded together and are holding out in a camp on the southern edge of the Mongolian steppes. The Mongol horde itself, much depleted by the wars, has swept back acrosss the plains from the north and has nearly surrounded the Conscript forces. 				<title>The art of war: A tactical strategy game. Slots open: 7 Recruitment and disscussion</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ This game has just been thought up by yours truly. Many of you are used to the role playing games that Dakkadakka hosts quite benevolently. Howevver, this is less of a role play and more of a strategy game. Each player will be a "General" Named, no history required and will have some general stats. These Generals will be actual entities inthe game that can be captured, killed, etc. And will gain rewards between senario's for victory and tactical skill. Speaking of which. This game is not like any other game you will have played. Instead of typing posts in the actual game window, players will PM thier General's to me, thier in game tactics will go to me and other observations a (and if you want in-genre fluff) I will then collate the material and will act out the tactics that every player has posted in in the form of long game events. Each game will be a different senario. For the moment the senarios will be strictly medieval, no magic, no sci fi for the moment. Just pure tactics. I may consider adding in other elements (in a controlled form) later if this game goes well. <br /> <br /> Each senario will have a small amount of fluff given, and all of them will be fictitious. Players can PM me for a request as to the nationality they want thier armies to be after each senario has been posted. Your Nationality will change many times over the course of the game. I will then reply to PM's with a list of the player's army and what supplies they have. I will personally keep track of this myself as well. The key thing to this game is that no one will know what is happening with the other armies until the events are posted. Protected by high walls and its own formidable army. Yet now there are forces moving against it that will shake the foundations of the city.<br /> <br /> Turks<br /> Crusaders<br /> Egyptian and Syrian marauders<br /> <br /> [color=red]<br /> Players: 3<br /> [/color]<br /> Player one: Jhon Doe<br /> Player two: Paul Smith<br /> Player three: Richard Taylor<br /> <br /> (Player nationalities after requests and settlements)<br /> Player one will have control of the Turks in Damascus <br /> Player two will have control of the Holy Crusader knights<br /> Player three will have control of the syrian and Egyptian marauders<br /> <br /> Player one objective: Survive until your enemies are either dead or forced to retreat from lack of supplies<br /> Player two objective: Sack or occupy the city of Damascus and defend the piece of the one true cross.<br /> Player three objective: Loot the city of Damascus for riches<br /> <br /> (Note players' two and three are not required to defeat each other for victory but theyre armies may not fight together because the crusaders refuse to fight side by side with heathens.) <br /> <br /> (All of the following information will be pm'ed)<br /> Player one: Your armies consist of the city itself, which has over 100000 civilians who are non combatants, 1500 light cavalry who are barracked inside the city, 3000 infantry, of which 1000 are archers, and the rest are mixed spear and sword are already on the walls when the enemy army arrives.<br /> The city has internal agricultural and blacksmithing resources and in theory can withstand a siege indefinitly.<br /> The City comprises of a large outer curtain wall, which is about 20 metres high. The habitual styructures of the city occupy the outside agains tthe walls and spread to cover around 50% of the total city space, most roads are narrow and alley-like. There are two gates, one of which is a merchant gate which is far weaker than the heavy duty city gate, although your enemies will not know this. Agricultural and smithing sectors occupy a furthur 30% of the city's space ant the rest is filled with barracks and nobility structures. Your soldiers are confident and happy, as is the population inside the walls. <br /> <br /> Player Two: Your armies will consist of 4500 infantry, of which 1500 are crossbowmen, and the rest of mixed spear and sword, a furthur 1000 hospitellar knights which are heavy infantry, and from there there are close to 1500 heavy cavalry, and a pair of battering rams that are resistant to fire damage.<br /> Your supplies can last you for 2 weeks of healthy eating, 4 of rations.<br /> You will approach from the south heading towards the enemy city. You know of the prescence of the marauders to your northeast who are about a furthur day from the city. <br /> The city defenses that your scouts have told you of consist two gates, and a heavy curtain wall. Your supply chains have been wary of the marauders and you have already dispatched 1500 archers (on top of the rest of your forces) to defend it. If it should reach you they can provide you with enough resources to last an additional two months of healthy eating, 4 of rations. Yous soldiers are filled with zealous fervor that will carry them strongly until a major defeat or if you lose the piece of the one true cross that resides with your armies. (note losing the cross in battle may inspire your troops harder to recovering it)<br /> <br /> Player three: Your army consists of 3000 light cavalry archers, and 200 infantry and support crews. You have no siege weapons at present but there may be ways to attain some on the battlefield. Your supplies are spread throughout the savanah and you can happily siege the city for a good month. The crusader knights have a supply chain of unknown worth, but it is well guarded. Your armies are happy with the idea of plundering damascus for its riches but otherwise their moral is more or less dependant on how well they do in battle. [/i]<br /> <br /> The Generals<br /> Your general is your personality on the battle field. To a degree you may ask me to post role play fluff that you have written, but your general willnot enter the fray unless he is captured or kileld in which case he (or she) will put up a valient defense. Generals are not only your personality on the battlefield but they also allow you to improve your chances in battle. With 4 stats.<br /> Valor: This is the general fighting capabilities of your troops. Certain units will benifit from this more than others.<br /> Discipline: Your soldiers will be more ikely to follow your orders unquestioningly with a higher Discipline score<br /> Fervor: When you are in control of an army that is affected by fervor (For instance the crusaders in this senario) your soldiers will fight harder so long as the object of their fervor is still applicable (In this case it is possesion of the piece of the one true cross) There will always be at least one army with fervor in each senario.<br /> Acumen: A higher Acumen score allows your troops to spread supplies and materials furthur and make alliances with other players with more ease (Again alliances will be explained furthur should at least 5 people join.<br /> Intellegence: This score allows me to give you tibits of feedback on tactics and better prebattle information.<br /> <br /> Each player starts with one point in each of these stats and with every battle participated in you gain an additional point. <br /> <br /> <br /> Gameplay<br /> As I have mentioned before this game requires you to PM me every contribution you have to the main forum, rather than you posting it yourself. 				<title>Survivor - Sci-fi Marines Showdown</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Threw this together for fun, taking key characters from various settings who are referred to as 'Space Marines' to some regard. 				<title>Blood Moon: The Great War</title>
				<description><![CDATA[  "There were many words that you could not stand to hear and finally only the names of places had dignity. Abstract words such as glory, honor, courage, or hallow were obscene".<br /> <br /> [color=red]"Over the top, boys!" <br /> <br /> Came the harsh call of Major Stansfield, which froze the blood into icy razors within the veins of the men in the trench, for those words meant death. With mute terror, the American men-at-arms lifted themselves out of muddy ditch, clenching their rifles in white-knuckled death-grips so tight they were liable to splinter the wood. Sergeant Morrison made it over the top first, taking the fateful tentative step forwards into No Man's Land that sent him tumbling back into the trench sans most of his skull. Running full tilt across the blasted ruin of the former French farmland, dropping like flies as bullets tore them apart like gory fruit, spraying their insides across the ashy field. One man ran on regardless of his state of disembowelment, his entrails dragging behind him like an obscene nest of serpents. His charge was only stopped when the mass of viscera was entangled on a strand of barbed wire, which sent him sprawling to the ground in a shrieking mass, still clawing towards the enemy. Black, leaded death exploded from rifles in the German trench, ripping men apart in the same manner cruel idiot children tear apart dolls. As the Americans finally reached the lip of the enemy trench, they were shocked and horrified by what greeted them in the sodden ditch. Not men, but monsters. Hideously deformed soldiers clutched rifles in malformed hands, gangly mutants bursting out of their uniforms grabbed on to the Americans with maggot-pale hands, dragging the shrieking warriors into the ditch. Horrid faces with mismatched teeth and idiot eyes let out fetid moans as they crushed the skulls of fallen men with clubs, giggling as their grey matter oozed into the mud, mingling with the gore. Too late to halt their charge, the Americans stumbled into the trench that would soon become their graves, desperately attempting to claw their way out as misshapen hands pulled them back and broken teeth descended upon their flesh. <br /> <br /> From the opposing trench, Major Stansfield could hear nothing but screams of agony and sporadic gunfire from the German-manned trench, but that was nothing unusual. What was unusual was the silence that followed after a twenty minute period of endless screaming. Through the hazy fog of war, the Major could make out shapes making their way towards him through the mist. At first, he could not make out what the strange shapes were, until they drew close enough for him to see what they really were, horrible abominations derided from Mankind. He gave the order to fire just as the first monster in a German uniform leapt into the trench, knocking the American prone and helpless as the thing's mouth bit out his throat. He couldn't even scream as the blood spurted from his neck, as his men were ripped apart by the monsters surely from Hell. As his eyes began to close, he saw a dozen twisted pale faces with yellow, idiot eyes looking down at him. [/color]<br /> <br /> Welcome to the Great War, more commonly referred to as World War One. It is the year 1917, and the war is in full tilt, with thousands of lives lost in the horrid meat-grinder known as the Western Front. More than simple human greed and lust for power drives this war, however. Dark eyes watch from the shadows, taking full advantage of the chaos to advance their own awful schemes. Jealous of the Brutii and the Julii, the House of Scipii captured and murdered several of their vampiric members, imbibing their blood in a ritual that transformed them into Kindred. The other two houses never forgave them for this treachery, and began a war of extermination against their kin. All Strigoi are thin and cadaverous, their skin papery and ethereal, and in some cases, appearing as walking skeletons. They often have long, pointed ears arching out from their hairless skulls. What truly set Strigoi apart from the rest of the Vampyre race is their ability to drain the life force from other Kindred, draining them dry as a typical Vampire would drain one of the Cattle. On average, an Opriknikki stands eight feet tall, and is often clad in black or red robes. Males always sport massive black beards that fall down to their waists. The Opriknikki were once the enforcers of Ivan the Terrible, terrorizing medieval peasants for sick games of sport, dragging them through the streets behind their black steeds. When Ivan was Embraced, he bade his warriors to join him in Undeath. The Opriknikki leapt at the chance to practice their cruel way for eternity, and allowed Ivan to Embrace them in turn. The Opriknikki are notorious for ripping apart their foes with their bare hands, and tearing at them with their teeth. The Brutii (singular and plural forms are the same) surround themselves with the trappings of wealth and nobility, scheming and plotting within great towers and complexes staffed by innumerable thralls and lesser Kindred. Hunters are often wary when on the trail of a Brutii, for these proud Vampires are often two or three steps ahead of them before the hunt even begins. The Brutii avoid direct conflict if they can, preferring to use thralls or Childer to do their dirty work for them. When Rome fell, the Julii were forced out into the wilds, fending for themselves among the untamed woods of Europa. When a Humanii ingests a large amount of Vampire blood, they run the risk of becoming a Dhampyre, a half-breed Vampire that can walk about in the sunlight, going where the other Kindred cannot. Dhampyres are more often then not deliberately created to serve as spies and messengers for their masters, being fed the blood of their Kindred master daily, enslaving them to it's coppery tang, and making the Dhampyre utterly dependent upon it's sire. Dhampyres sport fangs, but they are much less pronounced then those of their Kindred brethren, appearing only slightly pointed.<br /> TRAITS: Dhampyre <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCs</span> have all of the traits granted to Vampire characters, with the following exceptions:<br /> Dhampyres are not killed by sunlight<br /> Dhampyres may have up to two major <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(348);'>NPCs</span> and one base of operations<br /> Dhampyres do not NEED to feed off of Humanii blood to survive, however, Dhampyres instead require blood from a Vampire each day or begin to starve, as per the Vampire entry.<br /> <br /> Totenmaske (pronounced: Toe-ten-mask-eh)<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span>-7/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span>-5/S-6/W-3/I-9/A-3/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(157);'>SV</span>-3+<br /> SIRE: None<br /> COMMON NAMES: Skin Takers, Fleshdrinkers, the Twisted<br /> DESCRIPTION: The horribly disturbing Kindred known as the Totenmasken are former Vampires transformed into hideous creatures by drinking great quantities of Ancient Vitae tainted with Black Magick. A Totenmaske stands on average six feet tall, with pale, gangly limbs that touch the floor. They are whip-thin, with rubbery flesh that is nearly transparent in its paleness. The Totenmasken have no faces, only the vague impressions of eye sockets. They do not feed on blood as the other Kindred do, but on the flesh and terror of their victims. The fingers of a Totenmaske are hollow, little more than sharp tubes that the creatures use to sink into the bodies of their prey. With horrible suction, the Totenmaske literally drinks the creature's meat, sucking it into itself. More horrifically, the Totenmaske can assume the form of those it has 'drunk' from, sounding and appearing as their prey did in life. Most of the Kindred won't have anything to do with the Totenmasken, and some Vampire factions have attempted to exterminate them along with the Strigoi.<br /> TRAITS: Totenmasken <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCs</span> have all of the traits granted to Vampire characters, with the following exceptions:<br /> Totenmasken do not require Vitae to survive, but must instead absorb the flesh of a human or Kindred. Once absorbed, the Totenmaske may shapeshift to appear as that creature for a full week before the flesh begins to slough off.<br /> <br /> DeCarian (pronounced: Deh-care-e-ens)<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span>-6/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span>-6/S-6/W-3/I-6/A-3/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(157);'>SV</span>-3+<br /> SIRE: Claud DeCarrie'<br /> COMMON NAMES: Madcaps, Loonies, Crazies<br /> DESCRIPTION: When inmate Claud DeCarrie' escaped the Bastille during the French Revolution, he got more than his freedom. The convicted mass murderer fell victim to one of the roving Kindred packs that stalked France during those dark and tumultuous times, and was Embraced by a reckless young vampire who was intoxicated with her own power. DeCarrie' marveled at his newfound powers, and promptly murdered his sire and whent on a year long murder spree in which he Embraced no fewer than twenty victims. However, DeCarrie's madness was passed down through his gift of Vitae, and his childer bear his lunacy and derangement. Over the years, the DeCarians spread throughout Europe, preying on the homeless and downtrodden. DeCarians remain among their own kind, as interacting with the Humanii is extremely difficult for those whose very blood runs with insanity.<br /> TRAITS: DeCarian <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCs</span> have all of the traits granted to Vampire characters, with the following exceptions:<br /> DeCarians are irretrievably insane, and many have multiple personalities. During the day, men faced rats, bullets, mortar fire, gas attacks, and infection. At night, they faced the Kindred. The Great War provided a wondrous banquet for the race of Vampyre, with thousands upon thousands of displaced citizens and soldiers making easy meals for the hunters of the night. The trenches provided a buffet line of warm flesh and Vitae for the Kindred to enjoy, and none did more so than the Nachzehrer. As the sun set on the battlefield, clawed hands would burst from the soft soil, followed by pale, maggot-white bodies clad in ragged uniforms, which fell upon the men in the trenches with abandon. The mutilated corpses could easily be explained by mortar fire or some other wartime hazard, and the Nachzehrer themselves were careful to be long gone by the time others arrived, burrowing into the earth to await dusk once again. <br /> TRAITS: Nachzehrer <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCs</span> have all of the traits granted to Vampire characters, with the following exceptions:<br /> Nachzehrer may tunnel through soft earth and soil, and thus have the Infiltrate special rule.<br /> <br /> Dyybuk (pronounced: die-buck)<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span>-6/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span>-6/S-6/W-3/I-7/A-3/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(157);'>SV</span>-3+<br /> SIRE: None<br /> COMMON NAMES: Mindfeths, Kruegers, Dreameaters<br /> DESCRIPTION: Despite their immortality and resistance to damage, the Kindred may still be slain. This mortality irks them to no end, was not the Embrace supposed to make such fears a thing of the past? By brutal application of violence, a Kindred may enter the Final Sleep, and the end of their supposedly endless existence. A Kindred's spirit joins a vast sea of vampiric souls that twists and whorls in the psychic morass known as Gehenna. Most Kindred lose the ability to retain their personalities and minds, becoming little more than manifestations of<br /> energy that drift about aimlessly. Some, however, keep their minds intact, and become creatures known amongst the Kindred as Dyybuks. A Dyybuk lurks betwixt Gehenna and the mortal plane, in the realm of dreams. A Dyybuk has no physical body, and can only interact with the mortal plane by entering into the dreams of those it wishes to contact. A Dyybuk can alter the dream according to its whims and desires, often taken great pleasure in hunting the dream self of one of the Cattle through a nightmarescape of its own devising. A Dyybuk drains the sanity and psychic energy of its victims, slowly transforming them into broken husks that waste away from starvation as the Dyybuk steals even their most basic survival functions. A Dyybuk is extremely difficult to permanently kill, and an exorcism by a sorcerer employing White Magick is often most effective. Another method may be preformed by the victim themselves, fighting against the Dyybuk in their dreams. This method is extremely dangerous, and should only be attempted if the dreamer knows exactly what their tormentor is. Dyybuks may also possess a victim by overtaking their dream self and 'riding' the body like a grotesque mount. Over time, the host's features begin to subtly warp and change, growing to resemble that of the Dyybuk.<br /> TRAITS: Dyybuk <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PC</span>'s have the following traits:<br /> Dyybuks must spend a night tormenting a victim (any sentient non-Dyybuk, other Kindred will do) by entering their dreams. The victim makes an opposed <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>Ld</span> roll against the Dyybuk, and on a failed roll lose a point from their Toughness score. If a victim is reduced to 0 Toughness in this fashion, they enter a catatonic state, their minds utterly destroyed. A catatonic victim makes no save against a Dyybuk's Meat Puppet ability, and are instantly under its effect.<br /> ONEIROMANCY<br /> Unique to the Dyybuks is a form of Black Magick called Oneiromancy, which allows the Dyybuk to alter the minds of their victims through spells. A Dyybuk counts as a sorcerer for all abilities and attacks that target sorcerers. Unlike the Kindred, Ghouls can walk about unseen and undetected amongst the Humanii, often leading respectable and honest lives during the day while eating the flesh of the dead at night. Besides their unnaturally long lives, Ghouls are often attractive and appear rather young. The Ghouls and the Kindred have an agreement of sorts, the Kindred drink, the Ghouls eat, and nobody gets hurt.<br /> TRAITS: These stats are for a Ghoul who has fed as normal, a starving Ghoul reduces stats by -1 for everything except wounds and saves until stats have reached -3, at which point a Ghoul loses a wound. They have evolved and adapted first to have great stamina and speed. Wide chests support huge lungs and long, flexible arms, legs, and spines allow them to run great distances at fast speeds in order to keep up with and assault cavalry. This build also allows these wolves great feats of litheness and agility, they have naturally quick reflexes and have an affinity for stealth, stalking their prey unseen from the darkness of the night until just the right moment to strike. They are ambush killers, hitting the enemy with many quick strikes whilst he is unaware. They are often employed as infiltrators and even assassins amongst the lycan kind. The Shunkaha originated amongst the horse cultures of the Huns and Mongols where the great Genghis Khan and Atilla led them across the steppes. Later, they were also seen in the Native American populaces of the great plains where they were led by such wolves as Red Cloud, Crazy Horse, and Sitting Bull.<br /> TRAITS: In addition to the regular traits of werewolves the Overclock and Hunter's shadow applies to the Shunkaha...<br /> <br /> Overclock: Shunkaha are able to force their cardiovascular and respiratory system to kick into overdrive should the need arrive. If a Shunkaha character loses their last wound they have a chance to escape and live to fight another day, however this massive draw of energy reduces their healing speed for a period of time. When a Shunkaha loses their last wound, on a roll of 1-3 they are able to escape the fight. They cannot heal until they find a safe spot and then have to wait until a different day phase to return to normal healing speed.<br /> <br /> Hunter's shadow: The Shunkaha are known for their ability to sneak into the homes of any threat and eliminate it quietly, it is also rumored that for every clan leader there is at least one Shunkaha assassin prepared to eliminate the leader should they threaten the clan. There training is based around long studying and training. While they do pride themselves in their bizarre views they are not stupid or random, most are very calm and distanced, mostly because their training is based around meditation and self actualization oppose to strict studying and training. 				<title>Warhammer 40,000 RPG: The Serpent of Chaos Planning thread </title>
				<description><![CDATA[ [i]A crack of lightning accompanied the howl of wind, a thick storm of snow and ice pounded the broken and barren ground, a shrike of Bolter fire tore through the air as the Chaos Marines advanced under a hail of enemy auto-gun shots while they charged forward slamming hard into the Chaos cultists and crushing their frail bodies with Combat Knifes and Chainswords but were sent flying as a missile crashed into the earth and left them broken and shaken, the Black Legionaries’ looked up at the Iron Warrior Havocs who’s weapons started down at the marines like a wolf preparing to leap onto its prey. <br /> A blast shattered the marine’s bodies and set them alight with Plasma fire, screaming and shouting the dying marines were hit by a hail of bolter fire that finally silenced them. A Chaos Sorcerer passed the bodies, the tall figure accompanied by two massive hulking terminators that searched the broken land for targets. The Sorcerer hurried forward as the Iron Warriors began to clear away broken stones and cracked metal, behind it a symbol of the dark mechanus and metal gears along with plates. Set in a world conquered by creatures initially new to you, it is your job to survive and learn as much as you can about the new monsters. 				<title>Biohazard 3085 (Reboot)</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ This is a reboot of my second <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(293);'>RP</span> I've ever done. I will run it the same but how i will be introducing all the characters will be different.<br /> 2068 A.D. brought several meteorites struck earth bringing very unique possible organic spores that survived the dark cold void of space but not the heat of created by the friction of the meteors ripping through the atmosphere. <br /> <br /> 2070 A.D. brought the paradise program that created self retaining cities within highly populated areas to create safe havens from any possible biological threat. <br /> <br /> 2085 A.D. spores were revived using extremely advanced bio-egineering bringing a plauge that infected 97% of the world's population. Mass muatations created the populas into fleash devouring creatures that surpase the human standards of life. Paradise barely holds out only due to the walls built to withstand a world ending nuclear war. <br /> <br /> 2500 A.D. several space fleets created by the U.K. to explore the closest solar system were reclaimed from the undead and were launch sucessfully. <br /> <br /> 2735-40 A.D. First signs of highly intelligent life found. First contact with a race of aliens that are called the phantoms to closest translation. <br /> <br /> 2800 A.D. Political tensions with Phantoms die and firm alliance is created. <br /> <br /> 3000 A.D. Earth plan for Global clensing is began. <br /> <br /> 3085 A.D. First Phantom fleet arrives in orbit of Earth. Request that Paradise 109 clears its surrounding territory for landing zones to prevent any pre-mature infections. <br /> <br /> Paradise 109 A.K.A Lord's Haven: This is the last functioning paradise in the North eastern region of the United States. The paradise city have a intense communication network that allowed each city to continue scientific acheivements. Combat Bio-suits is a three hundred year old invention that has been continously modifeid. Weapony has also expanded into several heavy lazer weapony. Highly vunable to infection. <br /> Classes <br /> Light Sniper: A sniper with jump suit that allows short distance flight. Weak armor with a well range weapon. <br /> equipment: Crosshiers 11D, Jump suit beta, semi auto pistol, 7 flash bangs, one hell's wrath grenade. <br /> Eradicator: The Basic soilder with medium armor with more upfront equipment. <br /> equipment: Purifier(assualt rifle), exorcist pistol(heavy revolver), 4 Hell's Wrath grenades. <br /> Crusher: The demolitionist short range with some engineering tools, 32 onces of F4 (really powerful C4) <br /> equipment: Shockgun(shot gun) Alpha, Pheonix (self-replenishing flame thrower) <br /> Heavy Sniper: A sniper with heavy weapon and armor no jump function. <br /> equipment: devastation (blows holes into tanks like a knife through butter), Heavy Blade <br /> Heavy Eradicator: Similar armor to the Heavy Sniper. <br /> equipment: chose between Brimstone (Heavy chain gun) or the Smiter (a lazer Beam cannon) with Heavy blade, shock gun beta. Note once your out of ammo for these weapons you're out there's no more ammo for these guns. <br /> <br /> The Exiles: A myth within Lord's Haven that there are hidden cities that hold thousands of unifected individuals that work together to prevent future children to meet their ancestals fates. Many know the perks of parkour. High tolerance to the infection<br /> Classes <br /> Vanguard: the average armed exile citizen with some more fire power <br /> equipment assualt rilfe with bayonet. Revovler with weak explosive shells, Combat Knife. 6 Mollytov cocktail. <br /> Scavenger: Expert suvivor and repairman. <br /> equipment: shotgun, tool kit, tourch, mollytov cocktail, pickaxe. <br /> Viper: sniper class <br /> equipment: sniper rilfe, ghille suit mesh, smell cover up, distraction devices. ballistic knife. <br /> <br /> Cult of the Plauge: A worse myth about survivors that began worshipping the infected. Rumors swril around the exiles that they have learn the abilty to control the undead. Welcomes Infection (begins slightly infected but once full infection kicks you jump to deamon so you get chose from a deamon class) <br /> Class <br /> Defiler: the simple believer that all that die and return must rule the world. <br /> equipment: pistol and sword. cloak allows for travel within undead. <br /> Defendor: a mutated gene make giant men among the cult. standard is eight feet tall the highest recorded has been 15 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(438);'>ft</span>. Jumps to Wreaker Deamon class <br /> equipment: Giant shield(strong enough to broke some heavy firepower sometimes deflect missles.), Mace, spiked Fist. <br /> Skull Stalker: slightly shorter than average humans who found they have a talent for sneaking and killing in silence. Becomes hunter class deamon. <br /> Daul machetes, piano wire, smoke grenade, gas mask <br /> <br /> Rules <br /> Character set up <br /> Name <br /> faction <br /> class <br /> any additional info you want <br /> <br /> Also there is a difference between Alpha and Beta. Alpha is the a more powerful item then beta. You can upgrade Beta to Alpha when the option arrives in due time. Items without Beta in the name cannot be upgraded to Alpha class. <br /> <br /> Play style play with classic Laz but when it jumps to any major combat (I decide when i sneccesar) pick a number between 1- to what number i decide is suitable for example fighting one undead 1-5 is different then fighting sixty undead 1-30. Also i will describe in great detail where you currently are and when you jump to a new area. this allows you to pick a feel for where you are and whats your options are. if you want to change the play style please P.M.and we can disscuss the matter. <br /> <br /> Once infected you have several choices. <br /> 1. kill yourself. this imiedaitly ends your character and you begin a new one <br /> 2. let the infection takes its course and become an undead maybe eventually a deamon (read further to learn about) <br /> 3. play as long as you can as a human and I'll will let you know when your time is running out then killl yourself. <br /> <br /> Deamons are more powerful undead foes, there are several forms of these killers <br /> hunter: these monsters have a high movement and can easily keep up with any jumper suit. <br /> Knightmares are monsters that attack your mental stabily with roars and other methods like gas or through skin contact. <br /> Wreackers: are slow but have the power of a wreaking ball. <br /> Toxins: ranged attackers. spit acid or shoots bones. <br /> <br /> I will later be discussing Deamons in more detail later in the game. <br /> Each character will have a background story. if you don't provide one i will. <br /> For any Questions again just post or P.M. me]]></description>

				<title>Fallout nations RP. Interest. </title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I wish to cast this idea out to the masses. I wish to do a fallout Esq nations <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(293);'>RP</span>. Players would control one town in Texas. Any town you wish or can make up. You may be one of the following factions.<br /> <br /> Vault dwellers: A group of vault dwellers who have either left their sanctuary or built their community around it.<br /> Advantages: Significant boost to research and diplomacy.<br /> Disadvantages: Less sturdy as a fighting force, also less adept at food production and scavenging.<br /> <br /> Wastelander's: A general all rounder faction.<br /> Advantages: Quite used to the wasteland, this faction is adept at food production and scavenging, they are also proficient at defending themselves.<br /> Disadvantages: Their acquisition and research into tech is stunted as scientists are quite rare in the wastes, sane ones anyway.<br /> <br /> Ghouls: A group of Ghouls, sick of being ridiculed by the 'smoothskins' who have gathered together to try and live good lives.<br /> Advantages: They have a better understanding of pre-war tech, some of them where there after all! They are also proficient in combat and scavenging.<br /> Disadvantages: They are ridiculed, and suffer a severe penalty to their attempts at diplomacy.<br /> <br /> NCR: An advanced group of wastelanders who focus on science as well as war. They, for the purpose of the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(293);'>RP</span> will be cut off from their home of California.<br /> Advantages: They have a slight boost to their Military as it is well organized.  They are also decent with tech.<br /> Disadvantages: They have many powerful enemy's and must contend with their oppressive tax rates. Their ability to reason with some groups, such as the intelligent super mutants is sorely lacking.<br /> <br /> Intelligent super mutants: A group of super mutants who have gathered together for saftey in numbers, they are very aggressive most of the time.<br /> Advantages: Their army is very powerful, and as such they have a fearful reputation. They also require little food.<br /> Disadvantages: They have no chance of diplomacy with any close minded xenophobes such as the NCR, although other factions may trade with them. Not that the mutants usually wish to trade. They are also very scarce, though more and more mutants pour into their camps each day.<br /> <br /> Brotherhood of steel: A very illusive group of tech hoarders, looking for new tech and such.<br /> Advantages: Very good with tech, only below the vault dwellers in their proficiency. They are also very good at war. They start with power armor.<br /> Disadvantages: They are very few in number, and this chapter has almost no food production ability and has been forced to either raid or trade.<br /> <br /> My personal anti powergaming Unit is below.<br /> <br /> Enclave: Weakened and cut off from their main basses to the north, this massive and powerful force has decided to keep itself to itself. They are the only enclave unit in the area and control a massive hub in Dallas.<br /> Advantages: Massive production facility, powerful military, They are completely self efficient. They are also the only faction to start with heavy armor and air units.<br /> Disadvantages: NONE.<br /> <br /> Turn's shall be done by PM. In the main thread i shall post turn reports. 				<title>Survivor 40K - War of Fates: The FINAL</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So after just under a month, we have gone though the four intial rounds. We've had some close games, folks uniting against a common foe or rallying against a enemy and in general it has turned out a bit of fun just as I'd hoped. So after all the chaos of the four rounds, we come to the final. All the characters that have made it so far have been voted here by those of you playing, from the original sixty names placed into the game by myself.<br /> <br /> As noted in previous rounds, the winners of each round start with 12, second place 11, and third start with the normal 10. Even though they remain loyal to the Emperor, they are no longer a part of the Imperium. 				<title>Star Wars: The Sorrow of Light</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ This will be twenty years before the Phantom Menace. This will take place on a strange and mysterious moon that has ties to the force but it is only accessible for three months every 2000 years. There will be three factions Jedi, Sith, Bounty Hunter. You will begin as a padawan near the end of their training before they become actual Knights or Sith Lord. The Moon in it self is amazingly a self sustaining ecosystem non-reliant of Light or warmth from External forces. Earth like plants (Think our kind of trees and grass) sprout in forests and in abandon. This will be player driven with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(288);'>PVP</span> being Pan.<br /> For example<br /> Player 1 picks 2<br /> Player 2 picks 7<br /> Player 2 wins Light wound to leg<br /> Player 2 puts down a post describing how they hit the other player in the leg.<br /> <br /> "The prophecy claims of a moon that wanders this galaxy every two millennium where for three months it is in on the outer ridge planets. Padawan, some who never seen combat, stare at the blue hologram in uncertainty as their masters and mentors spoke to one another the possibilities of Dark side appearing on such site.<br /> <br /> "You have been selected to recon the Moon of Monoliths for the Scar bringers weapons company. Your contract states a payment of four million credits when you retrieve any of these legend artifacts" the message began to bleep into pictures as drawings of dark crystals and ancient machinery " There is the high possibility of Jedi arriving on the moon so we suggest you work in teams, and to avoid internal conflict all precipitating members will get the four million credits but the one who deposit is will get a luxurious bonus on the side." The female voice announce on the counsel of ship as its engines predestinated themselves to the dark sphere of the moon.<br /> <br /> "Today Brothers and Sisters we shall begin our pilgrimage to a place of worship that only a few of ancestors could ever make. We shall storm the halls of the temple of Zane and learn what he has learn. If the Jedi dare step foot on our holy lands then their feet share be separated from their ankle and their head from their neck! I know most of you are only apprentices but this is the time where the darkness gifts us with the power to destroy our enemies!' The charismatic speaker shouted through his mask as the oxygen in the air was poison to his species. "We are not intruders, we are guests in this place of legend. Do not threat when the machines of old begin to breathe life in thier gears as they will recognize the dark side.
