Unusual Necron Colour schemes

Ok, so I want to move on from Chaos Black/ Boltgun/Mithril Silver Drybrush onto something a bit more unusual-does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking maybe..

1) Brown/Bleached Bone
2) White/Flat Black
3) Flat Black/Silver (or Gold)-a la Black Legion
4) Light Grey (like Codex Grey)
5) Bronze /Brass with some Verdigris (for Immortals maybe)

So, what are your opinions on 'Crons colours? Do you like any of these suggestions? Do you have something better?

Thanks in advance...

In the back of the necron codex there are a variety of differen schemes that folks came up with. I like the ceramic looking ones, personally, and would do something like that if I was doing necrons. Take a look in the back of the dex to see what is possible.

Cheers

Re:Unusual Necron Colour schemes

I'm re-doing my warriors (90+) and decided on a mismatch approach. I based in CB and brushed Chainmail. From there I put green ink on the rune, on the spine (front and back), where the neck "pistons" are, and a tiny bit on some of the joints. Then I drybrushed a little chainmail on the mid part of the spine and a stroke over the pistons and joints so that the green looks like it is glowing from underneath. From there, my most used technique to make the army look somewhat coherent is to wash sepia over many of the pieces, avoiding the joints. It takes two ore three wahes, but it ends up looking like a very light gold. Next, I take all the metallics and paint different pieces on each warrior, avoiding joints and "bones." So, one may have the wash on the chest, a silver and tin arm, a chainmail and bronze leg and a mithril face, and, underneath it all, a greenish glow. I don't use gold, as that is used to distinguish my lords.
It sounds really laborious, but it isn't really, especially if you take it a color at a time and just kind of pick and choose. You can use devlin mud to add some "age" to different parts as well. You could also add "ceramic" parts, but I think that looks a little too mish-mash.

Also note...they are kept in stasis tombs, not buried in the bare dirt. It would be safe to say that these stasis tombs maintain a perfect atmosphere to keep any sort of corrosion from taking place. I would also figure if corrosion did happen to any notable degree that it would trip the auto repair system and be removed.

Also just curious but can anyone who is a good painter or who has the codex confirm a paint scheme. It's under metalics 2nd row down directly to the right of the model with the black base. The squares say the base coat was Mithril silver and the highlights where Boltgun Metal. It's kind of obvious that those squares where labeled wrong and should be reversed but I'm justwondering if anyone can confirm that those are actually the colors on the model?

@OP: Another thing you could do is if you can get ahold of or skim through the WHFB Dwarfs or Warriors of Chaos books they have some interesting color schemes that could transfer well to Necrons
