IG Mech with Support, 2000 pts

I am a new player with only two friendly games under my belt. In both games I have run an evolving IG Mech list. The first game I got very lucky against a mobile bike-heavy SM list, http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/469705.page and the second game after a few small changes to my list did pretty well against a Tau list, http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/470097.page. I am trying to build a versatile list that can handle a variety of all but the most extreme challenges. Here is what I have so far.

++HQ++
Company Command Squad
Officer of the Fleet
Astropath
Plasmagun x3
Vox-caster
Chimera

++Troops++
Infantry Platoon
Platoon Command Squad
Heavy Weapons Team - Lascannon
Vox-caster
Infantry Squad
Heavy Weapons Team - Lascannon
Vox-caster
Infantry Squad
Heavy Weapons Team - Lascannon
Vox-caster

Veteran Squad
Veteran Weapons Team - Lascannon
Plasma gun x3
Chimera

Veteran Squad
Veteran Weapons Team - Lascannon
Plasma gun x3
Chimera

Veteran Squad
Veteran Weapons Team - Lascannon
Plasma gun x3
Chimera

++Fast Attack++
Vendetta Gunship
Heavy Bolter Sponsons

Vendetta Gunship
Heavy Bolter Sponsons

Vendetta Gunship

++Heavy Support++
Leman Russ Squadron
Leman Russ Battle Tank
Lascannon
Dozer Blade
Leman Russ Battle Tank
Lascannon
Dozer Blade

Heavy Artillery Battery
Earthshaker Cannon x2

Support Weapons Battery
Hydra Flak Platform x2

I have a few specific questions about immobile weapons batteries, specifically the Earthskaker cannons (pg. 11 of Imperial Apocalypse 2) . The Earthshaker are immobile and specifically say that they cannot pivot to face the enemy; how does this restrict their targeting ability? Can they only fire in a straight line from the cannon or is there some sort of firing arc? The Hydra Flak platforms on the otherhand makes no mention of an inability to pivot so it can? As a new player I appreciate the help.

Earthshaker's have a 180 degree firing arc from where the cannon is facing, same as most other unit's. I hope that answers your question.

Looks pretty good.

I would suggest taking some meltaguns instead of plasma in a squad of veterans - there are some things that plasma and a few BS3 lascannons can't reliably handle. With the points saved, you could get bolters for your other Vendetta.
