As per the rumours, THQ is going down - they are not selling Relic, the developer of the Dawn of War series, as I heard Relic is an outside asset they do not plan on liquidating yet.

However, with SEGA recently acquiring the Fantasy licence, maybe it's possible that Relic/THQ loses their W40K licence and someone else gets to make new videogames?

I would guess so, but recently, because of THQ's troubles, Relic's games were also in trouble / the development cycle slowed down. In short Bankruptcy is used as a vehicle to continue trading, without bad debts. The new owner holds all the assets.
