There, now I agree.

There's really nothing special about the Citadel "primer" sprays, aside from their price tag. They adhere no better, protect no better, provide no better tooth, and are no more caustic than the cans of flat color you can pick up for a buck at Walmart. A respirator is a good idea if you're going to be doing this for an extended period (or very frequently) while in a fully enclosed space, but I'd consider it overkill if you'll just be doing a few quick sprays and walking away to let the models dry, especially if your garage is spacious and/or drafty. If you still want to use the mask, by all means do (no harm in precaution, within reason) - it should handle the fumes just fine, judging by the label.
