It couldn't be both fast and have twin linked turret weapons. It would also cost 265 points hahaha (but so worth it)

However, it's still pretty OTT hahaha. I mean, hull mounted Punisher Cannon? How would that even fit? I do like the idea of a hull mounted Autocannon, or Sponson Auto Cannons. Mount both AC hull guns and sponsons on an Exterminator? Well first of all, its rather confusing what you're even proposing.

What do you mean by 'turret weapons'? Are you saying to replace the standard battlecannon with those weapons? Or add a second weapon to the existing Russ of your choice? If its the former, then its redundant as the Punisher, Exterminator, and Annihilator already exist. If its the latter, than its just downright silly. The most powerful secondary armament on a Russ turret is a co-axial heavy stubber, present on the Vanquisher in FW books/models.

The option for two twin-linked heavy stubbers is also a little silly, as that's four heavy stubber; more than what the Macharius super heavy has in its hull (it has a twin-linked heavy stubber standard).

The laser target already exists in the form of a coaxial weapon mount in FW books for some russ variants that would make effective use of it, namely the vanquisher.

I'm fine with the side armour upgrade, so long as no sponsons can be mounted.

I don't see the point of a 30+ upgrade for and AC turret. It's only 1 AC, when I can get an exterminator for the same price, but this one is automatically twin-linked as well. Also, the Punisher Cannon one already exists as well (also for cheaper). That line is Punisher cannons in sponsons. Nope. Just a big nope. I don't care how many points you make it, its just a big nope.

Your other options should also suitably reflect they are being mounted in sponsons. The stubbers should just be a single set of twin-linked heavy stubber, the lascannons should be a single lascannons and not twin-linked.

Again, the hull heavy stubber option should be a single set of twin-linked heavy stubbers.

Punisher Sponsons?

40 Str 5 shots? Paired with a Punisher Russ, 60 Str 5 shots a turn? You're putting more dakka out than anything else. Oh lawd.

But yeah, make the Sponsons single weapon sets (so 2 with both sponsons) and thus non-twin linked so they can keep in line with the other sponsons. Also, the hull weapons should be the same way. and for the 60 Str 5 shots a turn each thats enough firepower to wipe put a 5 man termie squad in 2 turns. the new ig army would be 4 vetsquads in chimeras with behind two wedges of punishers with punisher sponsons so 180 str 5 shots a turn from each wedge. Anyway, I think you should get rid of the punisher related options. It has 20 shots already, give it more and Ork players will cry. Imagine a twin linked punisher cannon... might as well rip up your Tyranid codices, guys!

I don't care much for the autocannon. 5 more points gets you a lascannon.

The heavy grenade launchers are kinda cool and would work nicely on an Eradicator. I wouldn't take it for anything else, though.

Seriously though I think the Lemun Russ is the most versitile tank hull in the game and doesn't need the love at the moment.

It would be nice to see some Predator tank love though More weapon options would be be nice.

So I clipped everything I didn't like.
I'm cool heavy lots of heavy stubbers. More S4 shooting isn't over-powering, and it doesn't pair all that well with most turret weapons.
Autocannons aren't great, so again, I'm alright with that.
Lascannons might need to be more expensive. A russ Anilhilator (turret twin lascannons, for 130 base), could have 2 twin-linked lascannons and 2 lascannons for 195, which seems kind of too good.
245 with Pask, and that gives you 4 S10 shots at 48" and AP2.

What I would like to see?
Caseless Ammo. +10 points, and turret weapon LOSES the Ordnance rule.

For most Russ builds, the Ordnance Rule is actually a drawback, and I'd gladly pay a few points to drop it.

LR's should not be fast they are lumbering brutes-the IG are not (MOSTLY-yeah there are exceptions) a rapid reaction force that's what Marines are for. I would love a BS4 LR, equally a trio of AC's would be a very worthwhile points sink. Cheers for the feedback. I agree some of my ideas may have been far-fetched but I was brainstorming rather than listing things I think would be a good idea. I don't think some of the posters above quite understood that

Don't know about removing Ordinance. I'd rather Russs had Heavy, Lumbering Behemouth and have LB give Russes the ability to shoot ordinance + other weapon as normal. Paying extra to make vanilla Russes and Demolishers as good as they were in 5th seems unnessesary.
