The Day the Universe Changed

I watched this series back in the day and recently stumbled across it on youtube. This is a totaly amazing set of shows that talk about changes in science, technology, and social attitudes among other subjects and how one thing can lead to another. If you have never heard about this series, I recommend giving it a look.

http://m.youtube.com/index?&desktop_uri=%2F#/watch?v=TdB61lXonEY

I was extremely, pleasantly surprised to find it on youtube and plan on sitting my kids in front of it and talking about it with them.
Horrible histories is another series that I got my kids into watching, and now they go around the house singing the Henry the 8th song.

However even programs like The Day the universe Changed were far from unique in the 80's, whereas Brian Cox is a dim candle in a room stocked with mindless drivel which is the BBC broadcasting schedule.
However Cox while having an approachable face doesnt explain things half as well as his predecessors.
