finecast thunderfire cannon - how bad is it?

I'm thinking about picking up a thunderfire cannon or two, but the main thing holding me back is that it's only sold in finecast now. I've not had the best of experiences with finecast to date, but my experiences have also been limited (chaos sorcerer and the 5x plasma gun and 5x meltagun packs). finecast seems to make a mess of small details and sharp edges. since the TFC model has nooks and crannies everywhere, I'm worried that the finecast version will require an absurd amount of fixing (or lots of mailing back and forth with GW for replacements).

anyone have the finecast version of the TFC? if so, how was the casting? lots of bubbles and flaws? pretty smooth? for anyone that happens to have both the finecast and the metal version, which one is better in terms of casting quality? I'm not in a huge rush, so I could potentially wait for metal versions to pop up on ebay if that's the better way to go.

I have two I just recently got - I haven't assembled them but I did inspect them for bubbles etc.

They look pretty good - in that I don't see any obvious warping or flaws. As far as a comparison to metal they're no better/worse. If you want I can try and get some pictures up next week.
