				<description><![CDATA[ Arrrghhhh frustrating, I am 195 points short from the total and just cannot decide what to do with the points. I am also looking for something fluffy to fit the rest of the theme, (Ulthwe) <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(17);'>btw</span>.<br /> <br /> The list is as follow:<br /> <br /> 3 Warlocks - 1x jetbike = 120<br /> <br /> 10 Guardians - shuriken cannon = 105<br /> Wave serpent - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span>-scatter laser, Shuriken cannon, Holofields = 145<br /> <br /> 10 Guardians - shuriken cannon = 105<br /> Wave serpent - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span>-scatter laser, Shuriken cannon, Holofields = 145<br /> <br /> 5 Jetbikes - Shuriken cannon = 95<br /> <br /> 3 War walkers - x3 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(461);'>EML</span>, x3 Scatter lasers = 270<br /> <br /> Fire prism - Holofields, spirit stones, Shuriken cannon = 160<br /> Fire prism - Holofields, spirit stones, Shuriken cannon = 160<br /> <br /> So there it is, 195 points left to spend and I have not got a clue what to spend those spare points on.<br /> Could someone please help. <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Warlocks don't fill up an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> slot. And since you want an Ulthwe army, consider getting a farseer on a jetbike with some remnant of glory, like the mantle of the laughing god.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Ok if you're going Ulthwe, you either want a farseer, 2 farseers, or Eldrad.<br /> <br /> Why do you have cannons on the prisms? They fire 60 inches. If you're getting close enough to use the cannon, you're doing it wrong. <br /> <br /> Why don't your wave serpents have vector engines? Putting the butt end towards the enemy, disembarking 6 inches from the serpent, spinning the serpent around after shooting, running the guardians <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>d6</span> towards the enemy and having them unload/take an objective, etc. is a useful trait.<br /> <br /> Ever heard of the black guardians of Ulthwe? Why not consider a storm guardian squad with another wave serpent? Gives you access to flamers/meltas if need be. Right now you've definitely got light armor handled, but anything <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> 12 or higher you're going to have some problems. Consider what it is you want your guardians to do. Do they camp something? Are they anti-infantry? Should they consider taking a lance instead of a laser? Possibility.<br /> <br /> Lastly, another option to consider is taking another jetbike squad with a warlock. If I'm reading this correctly, your group of jetbikes has a single shuriken cannon in it? Why? Eldar have easy access to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>Str</span> 6 weaponry, why not take it wherever possible, especially now that you're BS4 and with Bladestorm.]]></description>

Storm guardians just seem a waste as I cannot charge after disembarking, the extra melta/flamer shots would be nice but I dont feel I need them. Av12 can be glanced to death with all my S6 weaponry. 				<description><![CDATA[ Second a farseer, probably one on a jetbike but I understand if you don't have an extra. The jetseer can cast powers on things outside of your squad in a transport though, which is the main boost. In a transport, a farseer is largely wasted.  Also keep in mind you have no room in your transports now that the weapon platform takes up a space, so if not on a jetbike you either need to drop a warlock or weapon platform to fit an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> in. <br /> <br /> All of your psykers should take singing spears if you have the points. <br /> <br /> Consider upgrading your guardian weapon platforms to scatter lasers, I find the extra range and shot to be well worth it, even with the new bladestorm rule.  <br /> <br /> A shuricannon on a prism is okay, but it is a secondary weapon. The cannon is all about shooting from range, and the cannon does increase your dakka should you need to fight off something that gets close, I would still spend the points elsewhere. With the damage rules for tanks, it is pretty rare the cannon will get taken out and the prism still stand. <br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(461);'>EML</span>'s on walkers are a bit questionable as lances will handle the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(482);'>AT</span> duty for less. <br /> <br /> An autarch is an ok <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>hq</span>, but running him solo is just asking for trouble, even with the wing. In a transport first, then using the wing as a secondary is good though. I just don't see the autarch adding much of anything. For the same points and wing, a spiritseer is probably better. <br /> <br /> I would rarely, if ever suggest a phoenix lord, but Maugan ra would be a nice fit for your army. He could replace a warlock as the 12th man in a wave serpent, and would boost guardian shooting. Using his split fire, you can shoot him or a heavy weapon at armor while the rest of the squad can pepper infantry. It would give you some spare points to hand out upgrades. He is also somewhat fluffy in an Ulthwe theme list. <br /> ]]></description>

Busy weekend.<br /> <br /> Well the reason I was suggesting farseer/eldrad over the Autarch was that you stated you wanted an ulthwe army, something heavily slated towards guardians and psykers. That and you're not trying to manipulate reserve rolls so a major function of the Autarch is lost in taking him.<br /> <br /> As for the bikes, that makes sense.<br /> <br /> Vectored engines are definitely worth their points, but only if you're using the serpent as a delivery system. If you plan to have the guardians advance down the field/ hold a forward position, having the mobility options the engines give you is definitely something to weigh into your decisions. Something that gives you tactical flexibility is a little harder to see the value in against something like, say, a flat defensive boost from holofields, but it's no less useful if it allows for some outlandish shenanigans.<br /> <br /> The storm guardians were more an additional threat to higher armor targets and a redundancy to your prism, or a redundancy to templates should you face horde armies should your prism cannon be destroyed as you were saying. The cannon on the prisms, however, is really not a good return on investment <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span> simply because you're only planning on using it *if* your prism takes a hard enough hit and *if* that hit renders it's primary shot useless. The spirit stones are not a bad idea given it fires 2/3 blast shots, but <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(274);'>ymmv</span> and, as you've said, you've found them useful. ]]></description>
