Eldar Corsairs, My army and the fluff for how I'm using IG represent them.

So I'm running IG with Eldar allies for my army, I am going to be using the forgeworld eldar corsairs with las blasters to represent my IG in miniature form thanks to the suggestion of a helpfull dakkaite in another thread and I am running 3 vendetta gunships alongside of two veteran squads and a company command squad. Now for the vendetta's i am working on building a couple of flyers simmilair to this excellent kitbash http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/390485.page, except I'll be using the wave serpent hull extension to give them the transport capacity of the vendetta. I have written up a datasheet for the Vendetta to eldarify the names for its rules (Which i wont post as my refrence sheets are very comprehensive rules wise) However I have also tried to write up a little bit of fluff on how to explain this unit, that i was hoping to share with you all and get some comments on it maybe.

Tempest Wyvern
The Tempest Wyvern is a specialised variation of the Phoenix Ground Attack Fighter designed for swift boarding actions. Its compliment of unique weapons is meant to target the vunerable parts of a ship as to cripple its defenses and propulsion system. Once the enemy is dead in the water it unloads its cargo of Corsair raiders who swarm out and board the enemy ship to loot and plunder before dissapearing back into the hull of the Tempest. However due to its heavy shell of wraithbone armor the Tempest is considerably less nimble then most eldar fighter craft, it makes up for this with added resiience and its frighteningly powerfull compliment of Tempest Lances, the Tempest Lance is in effect two bright lances offset to a slight angle to make the two laser beams converge into a single wider beam that trades the surgical precision of a bright lance for the increased chance of hitting vital systems. Its amazing firepower and resilience also see it deployed to take out other fighter class vehicles and in ground assaults it can be utilised in a fashion simlair to a Wave serpent to quickly drop off its compliment of Corsair raiders. When used in this fashion the Tempest Wyvern can be mounted with a secondary set of weapons called Tempest Needlers, This weapon fires large wraithbone spikes that are able to pierce infantry armor with relative ease and are often used to provide cover fire for the corsairs as they disembark from the craft.

The Tempest Lance: ofcourse is my justification for the Twin Linked Las cannons on the vendetta and how they seem to be missing the lance rule, I have made it seem like a tradeoff between a normal brightlance and this weapon which is TL.
Tempest Needler: Well Heavy Bolters dont really have a good analogy in the eldar codex, I can't call it a shuriken cannon without bladestorm very easily so I opted to make up something new that still works a lot like other eldar weapons. Think of it as the result of crossing Dark Eldar Splinter weapons and Eldar shuriken Weapons without going the full on poison badness of the dark eldar. my corsairs do have standards you know!

Out of interest, why run them as IG and not as one of the Eldar lists?

Forge world rules aren't allowed pretty much anywhere here so I can't use the actual Corsairs rules. On the other hand as long as its clear what I am using to count as what I CAN use Imperial Guard with Las Gun as Corsairs with Las Blasters easily. Not to mention vendettas are great, I can take a hydra to put my firestorm to use and get a themed army going, using allies that still does what I want them to do. Its a shameless bid to get better flyers than the crimson hunter basicly. I thought I'd at least put in some effort to make it seem to work..
