The storm talon is great at killing fliers(usually only takes me one turn, 2 at the most, to shoot down a flier with the sky hammer missiles and assault cannons.  The scouts in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(440);'>lss</span> are nice I like them but honestly they are not very scary.  The best thing they have going for them is the ability to move quickly and jump out to claim an objective(that is assuming the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(440);'>lss</span> is still flying).  If you want to keep the bike theme wait to get the offical word on how the bikes will work in the new book but I doubt they will be very benifical as your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(744);'>rw</span> will be better.  If you take the scouts you will have something moble to claim objectives or you could have something that gives up kill points quickly.  If you go with sm allies I would keep the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> dirt cheap.  Troops to a min and utalize the special choices that the da don't get.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Ok to me the list seems fairly solid, some things I would consider though:<br /> <br /> 1) No dakka banner? You already have the command squads for it, and it does add a lot of firepower for its price. Most Ravenwing lists will use it. As you are running a second command squad you might also consider the ravenwing banner, guaranteed hit and run is useful.<br /> <br /> 2) Interrogator Chaplain: Do you need him? I will admit I have an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(67);'>IC</span> on a bike with the mace of redemption, though I will be the first to admit the points could better be spent else where. I use him for fun games. Instead you could consider a bare bones librarian to unlock that command squad for a cheaper price. Or possibly consider giving the librarian a power field generator when facing power weapons and cover ignoring attacks. <br /> <br /> 3) Flyers. Personally I wouldn't run a flyer in my ravenwing army. The reason being that your army has the potential for a huge alpha strike, and the more points you have on the board at the start of the game to achieve this the better. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(325);'>Tbh</span> most enemy flyers can be avoided, ignored or mitigated through hit and run in a Ravenwing army. Heldrake is an exception from this with its wtfbbq 360 degree torrent attack, and vector strikes. <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Hey guys, Thanks much for the feedback. I am seriously thinking of redoing the whole list. Keeping the main block of Sammael /<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(732);'>CS</span> 3 squads of 6 . then maybe a speeder or three. Left over points i would get a super cheap <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>Hq</span> on bike (space marine) Scouts with Speeder storms to claim objectives in upper floors of ruins/buildings (which my local meta does on a daily basis)  and a Stormtalon. I dont really want to ally but this does seem a very good fit. I could always bring in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squads with drop pods to do the same thing, Although the Space marine scouts would be much cheaper. I know i could drop the Deathstomr drop pods, but..what they can do is simply insane. I am still unsure if the firing arch is 360 I think it is though. Which would give me 5 independent shots of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 5 ap4 small blast pinning shots. that's 15 3' blasts on the table with a 48 inch range. The more I type the more i Think I'm going to make 2 versions, one with the scout allies and one with a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squad of two. C & C on my thoughts are most welcome!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ This is going to make me sound like a horrible player but......I don't feel the banners are worth the 50-80 points they cost. The bubble is only 12 inches out, I don't want my army bunched up. If they gave the Entire army their benefit then yes i would in a heart beat take one or two but they don't. I am always willing to play test it out and such, but In my gut and my local meta I don't feel it's needed at all.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I understand your concern mate, I felt them same particularly about the dakka banner with it's 6" bubble. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span> increases your durability by a third which is huge and provides a save vs AP3 ignore armour attacks (like the baleflamer) provided they are not S10. The dakka banner increases your firepower at long range by 4. One thing to remember with the dakka banner is that you turbo boost in the shooting phase so if you are bunched up and have shot everything you need to other units can then disperse with a turbo boost move.  Its really good but if your mates are casual gamers it might be a wee bit over the top, particularly when combined with the scout move....<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ It also helps with cutting down hordes, the codex offers a few support models to help protect the banner like a libby with a force generator or the dark shourd. If i recall correctly since i havent used my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(744);'>RW</span> in awhile if you turbo boost with the dark shourd you now have a 2+ cover save plus the libby 5 plus invuln and stealth from the shorud.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ That's right with the Dark shroud you can get  a 2+ cover save due to skilled rider. You just continually turbo boost increasing the fire power of your army exponentially. Not to mention the brutal alpha strike you can unleash with scout. My usual list puts out 112 T/L bolter shots and 4 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span> shots first turn from 24" away from the enemy. 1st turn you have a 48" threat range (after scout) with a salvo 4 bolter on every bike. It makes the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(744);'>RW</span> viable in a highly competitive environment. Not top tier, but possibly not too far below that..<br />  ]]></description>

And if i am seeing this right....(IF i go first) I start up 12, scout move 12, On my move go 12...shoot the ungodly hell out of my opponent, Charge (if able) On their turn and end of Close combat, use hit and run..so on my turn I can shoot/re charge all over again. Do i have that about right? If so..i need to re work my entire list <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span>]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Im pretty sure they cannot, I run sammy with a unit of norm biker so they can benifit from samms skilled rider. I stick the libby on bike with the command squad so they know have a 5 plus invuln from the PFG. Try and spread your heavy hitters/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>'s out, the more threats you have around the more the enemy has to divide there fire. It just a thought, as every time sammy is with them "for me" they get nuked right away. When sammy is off with the norm bikers i see them trying to hit him and avoiding the banner. Plus another unit of skilled riders is nice.]]></description>
