The Emperor is using the energy from the 1000 psykers a day to fuel the Astronomican, and the waste from that 'feeding' is being used to create psybolt ammunition. Regardless of the process involved, the word "crap" generally regards to the smells brown stuff that people are revolted by. Clearly ps-bolts have nothing to do with the feelings or thoughts triggered by the word "gak" so it's innacurate to describe it as such.

Or alternatively the fact that it has nothing whatsoever to do with a digestive system means that it is not gak. Take your pick, it's still infantile.
