				<description><![CDATA[ This is a 1000 points list trying to take advantage of Al'Rahem's out flanking ability. The idea is that his whole platoon would be in reserve as well as the devil dog. The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> has Body Guards becuase it along with the veteran squad will be only troops actually holding down my end of the table other than the griffons. I think the Missle launchers and plasma should make good enough anti-vech becuase they should be attacking the sides or back of most vechs. This gives you more forces supporting eachother and overall more chances to hit than to miss in this "hit or miss" scenario.<br /> <br /> Units like Scout Sentinels, Harkervets, Vendettas, and Stormtroopers are great for this.<br /> <br /> When you raise the points to 1250 and up, adding Creed and some Hellhounds or <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(89);'>LRBTs</span> to be outflanked aswell really compliments it nicely.<br /> <br /> As far as your list goes, you really need some special weapons in the infantry squad. The plasma guns on the special weapon squads is always pricey and really fragile. <br /> <br /> If you blob your infantry, they are gonna get destroyed in Assault unless you add a commissar (anti-sweep). Next, if a walker assaults them, they are not gonna be able to do anything about it. A 55 point Armoured Sentinel can tie up your 165 point blob for the whole game, stopping the whole attack. (Take meltabombs.) Next, since you are taking a commissar for the blob, give him a powersword and maybe sgt powerswords for anti <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQ</span> in assault to prevent massacres.<br /> <br /> I think the main problem is <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(482);'>AT</span>, you got 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(482);'>AT</span> units and one of them is gonna get Instagibbed buy one multilaser while the other will get hit by every anti-tank gun your enemy has since you may very well lose both griffons 1st turn since they have to be within Lascannon range to shoot anything practically.<br /> <br /> Give that stuff some thought for now.<br /> <br /> cheers,<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(499);'>DaK</span>]]></description>

I wish i could take rough riders but i actually want to win occasionally. I like the cavalry special rules and i love the idea but alas a waste of points they are. <br /> <br /> also one of us did our point calculations for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>Hws</span> with 3missle launchers wrong because we have two different points costs for the same unit. ]]></description>

				<title>1000 points IG Desert Raiders </title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Missile Launcher Sentines were what I liked to use, they are a nice happy medium between lascannon and autocannon. What is wrong with it is that if you are taking missile launchers, might as well have lascannons. The fragile sentinels, if they are only gonna survive 2 turns when they come on, should at least be able to do something when they get there for sure!  <img src="/s/i/a/5d13fa41280d6fdef786d41bc175d3f6.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> And as far as dropping snipers, that would be a nice idea. It actually cannot hurt to have them, since you need something to soften up the enemy. The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(89);'>LRBT</span> is nice, because it is a nice start for a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(89);'>LRBT</span>-Outflank with Creed later on and it can handle multiple scenarios for only 150 points. 				<description><![CDATA[ I once did an Al’Rahem list.<br /> <br /> Basically, the real fun part is to bring Chimera with your platoon and pack as much as possible short ranged weapon: Plasmagun, Meltagun, Demolition charge, Flamer and Heavy Flamer.<br /> You can even think about Hunter-Killer Missile on the Chimera to maximize the arrival impact.<br /> <br /> But the real problem with an Al'Rahem list is the size of your game.<br /> At few points, your opponent can easily dodge your attack, for example by putting all his army in the middle.<br /> Moreover, because he has so few threat in front of him, he won't have to show you his back, he can be ready to face you as soon as you arrive.<br /> <br /> Al'Rahem strategy works only if you put pressure on him from another front.<br /> <br /> So, for me, it works pretty well because, we were playing at 3000 points and my opponent have to deal with my Leman Russ and an approaching blob in front of him.<br /> The second factor, we were playing on a "vanguard strike" map, so my Tau opponent has all his army in one corner behind an Aegis.<br /> When Al'Rahem arrived with a ton of Flamers, basically almost all his infantry was wiped-out. Plasmaguns at short ranged were able to put some wound to the Broadsides and Riptides.<br /> <br /> So, Al'Rahem can be fun but it works better at higher point and against relatively static army.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Ok Here is the new list. It is 975 points and I am not sure where to put the other 25 points. My intuition is extra armor + stubber on hydra, but my brain tells me thats a waste of points. The Infantry squads are going in as a combined squad. 				<description><![CDATA[ Rather than putting smoke on your sents I would recommend camo as you can set them up in woods, ruins etc and snipe away all game with a pretty decent cover save to ward off small arms fire]]></description>
