Software to handle mobile phone contacts?

Hi all, I just got an Xperia smartphone and want to transfer the contacts from my old phone (an old Nokia). The Sony Bridge for Mac software crashed when trying to do this

What I want ideally is a utility that sits on my computer and works as an address book and can synchronise my contacts between my phone and different computers.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

It needs to run on Mac OSX, and work with Android devices.

Thanks in advance...

I don't believe it uses your desktop at all, it appears to use bluetooth. I have not used this app but it seems well reviewed. Or am I misunderstanding, is this not a one-time transfer?

I keep my contacts in Google, which also syncs them up on any computer I use and any number of phones I might use.

Google will integrate most seamlessly with your device. I do totally understand your hesitation but in my experience it's been the most hassle-free method.
