(the two reasons i see for this squad for is blob squad elimination, str4ap4 largeblast ignores cover
then 32 str3ap5 shots afterward, this is the definition of how to kill a blob.
then i can do it again or assault heavy tanks with haywire grenades. only two reasons i see to bring them.

I also think that blob removal can be easily achieved by the Serpents...so the Swooping Hawks are a bit more redundant than a better tank-killing unit would be.

Right now you lack ranged tank-killing power, AV14 will give you some issues, especially if they are armed with Assault Cannons to counter Serpents. No. That's not how it works. You have dual FOC, but that's still one detachment. Each detachment is allowed one crimson hunter exarch.
