Do you have a tape measure / ruler?


3/1 mm magnet means 3mm round, 1 mm thick.

Measure where you want to magnetize your troops and see if a 3mm magnet will fit safely inside of them, if not they will ruin your model.

If you only have 2mm space, order 2mm/1mm magnets. As you can see, there is a small point in the centre. This makes drilling holes accurately so much easier than using a HSS bit IMO.

Might be some more stuff.
It all came in a steel tool box which I now use to transport my undead which have magnetic bases.

For example, I use 1/8" diameter magnets on my terminator arms. Some people might PREFER a slightly larger or smaller size. But around that size works for most.

On a dreadnought - are you magnetizing the arms? or some other piece of war gear?
For small pieces of wargear (hk missiles on iron clads for example) I use he 1/8" magnets.
But for arms, I use stronger 1/4" diameter magnets (so they don't droop).

Regarding land raiders, what part are you trying to magnitize?
A sponson? A missile? A search light?

Also, the drill bit size to "match" your magnet...is that exact size. If you use 3mm magnets, you want 3mm drill bits.
You should be able to pick up the drill bits at any hardware type store.
