I arranged the fight with a guy I met in GW and told him I had a few massive handicaps - I had no AA or anti-tank stuff, so I asked him to consider this when building his army. Welcome to the 2nd day of 7th ed!

From reading a good chunk of the rule book most of the game is the same, the psychic faze and a few special rules are different which isn't bad.

I would suggest finding a theme (strictly competitive is a theme) and from there build a list if its nurgle you can do heldrakes supporting PM with duel plasmas or meltas. And likewise for any other mark of chaos.
