Flow improver in small quantities thinning paint does what you'd expect, but used in conjunction with inks and washes it really helps it get It into the crevices without excessively tinting the surrounding paint (if you don't want to)

Plastic putty just makes liquid green stuff look like gak, much thinner texture makes it easier to get in smaller cracks, and, crucially, you can sand it smooth once dry.

If I had to pick a single "wonder product," though, I'd probably have to go with Pledge FloorCare (Multi-Surface Squirt and Mop). It's super thin and has great flow, while drying to a perfectly clear, hard finish.
