Um, nope. There have been plenty of times in human history where 30 was considered long lived. I guess you could say naturally a proper healthy human in a "vacuum" could always live an average of about 80 years, but in the past its been pretty hard struggle to stay healthy that long. Disease, war, famine, and stress historically cut life expectancy quite a bit.

Ah.... no. 30 years was the average life expectancy... but that is because of the way mathematics determine averages, not because people were dropping dead at 27 in mass numbers.

In this era, lots and lots of people died before they turned 2 due to childhood illnesses, but if they got past that point, they could reasonably expect to live to 70. Of course, what's the average between 2 and 70?
