Questions I couldn't find answers to in the Lexicanum.

The Lexicanum is great and a writer's goddamn dream, but there's some things I still have questions about. They're pretty basic questions but I can't find the answers on the Lex.

What currency do they use in the Imperium O' Man?

What's the most common material that things are made out of? Walkways, doorways, automated machinery etc etc...

Are there still aspects of consumerism? Are there stores, chains, stuff of that sort?

I very much doubt that the entire Imperium uses the same Currency. It seems vastly more likely that each sector or world has it's own local currency, meaning in essence, you can make one up for a story.

Again, what things are made of varies vastly from world to world depending on what resources are available. Anything from concrete to straw then.

And yes, their are still consumer chains such as pubs and guilds and things.

Most of your questions are addressed and expanded upon in the Eisenhorn book series by black library which really shows day to day imperial life...before the Inquisitor pops up

Questions I couldn't find answers to in the Lexicanum.

Keep in mind that, as nice as the Lexicanum is as an index of sorts, as per its creators the IP does not have a uniform canon (see quotes here), which means that you should not be surprised by the various sources contradicting one another - something which isn't quite addressed by the wiki, as it still misleadingly suggests that every single product is part of a greater continuity, often merging information from official products that were never meant to be compatible, and often resolving conflicts based on the individual fan-authors' personal opinions and interpretations.

By the very nature of the setting, nothing in the Lexicanum is "wrong", but it would also be false to treat it like some sort of universal truth - this just does not exist, as Andy Hoare and Marc Gascogne explained in the link above.

Many conflicts can thankfully be resolved by simply pointing to the Imperium's decentralised lifestyle, for even though every single world pays allegiance to Terra and the High Lords, they can all have their own unique cultures, government styles, economies, currencies, fashions, etc.
In terms of currency, for example, the aforementioned Dark Heresy RPG from FFG uses Throne Gelt or Thrones in the Calixis sector, whereas Games Workshop's Necromunda game uses Guilder Credits. So if you wish to write about your own place, just make something up like all the official authors do.

In regards to common materials, stuff that shows up with a certain regularity in the sources I've read are armaplast, durasteel, duraplast, flakboard, etc. Again, just pick something you like or make up a new material whose name conveys its natura.

Questions I couldn't find answers to in the Lexicanum.

As far as currency, it's probably similar to Europe, with planets and sectors having their own currencies, then there being 1 or 2 galactic standards of currency, and then vast bureaucracies dedicated to converting currencies back and forth.

But then you get into Xenos-Imperium trading, which is probably on a barter system considering Ork use teef, Tau have bitcoins, and Eldar/Deldar/Necrons would probably give you a 20-minute lecture about how they've evolved beyond the need for currency.

Munitorum operates on Imperial Credit units :

Munitorum Manual / Sector 3 / Aquisition of Supplies
1 - On Worlds where an Imperial presence is less than complete, supplies may be requisitioned by the Regiment by the transfer of Imperial Credit Units to the planet's Imperial Commander. Such transfers will allow the passage of goods and services to the regiment lest the Commander be found wanting in his duty to the Emperor. For a previously decided amount, the Governor must authorise the shipment of arms and ordnance, food and water to the regiments supply base. In theory, these things should be supplied as a matter of course, but the passing of Imperial Credit Units often helps to faciliate such transactions and negates any possible delay in resupply. When dealing with sucgh planets, it is often best to obtain some local currency to pay local 'go-betweens' who can help smooth the resupply process. Tough this is a distasteful practice, such things must sometimes be endured for the greater glory of the Imperium. Once supplies have been obtained in this way, any Imperial Credit Unit spent should be recorded for addition to the planets next tithe and will be claimed back by the Imperial Office of Outlays.

Local currency = yes.
Imperial Credit Unit used to trade between the locals and the IoM.
