im looking to build a 1500 point army to play around with, and i want to choose between these two. I love the daemonkin models, and i love the unique blood tithe rules. But im really interested in the Dark angels lore. I love their background and history, but im not too clued up on how they play.

Im going to be playing against Admech, Tau and eldar.

IMO they have some of the best models in the game. They seem pretty easy to start off with because of Dark Vengeance and the Dark Vengeance expansion. I don;t have the codex, but I play against Dark Angels alot, and usually its against the Biker or Terminator variety. The Biker variety is the one that gives me the most trouble just due to speed.

Khorne stuff...I just don't like most of the models personally enough to want to collect. I have a friend that runs a Khornate Daemon army, and its vicious though. Then again, he's probably the best player I play against, so I don't know whether its the army list or just that he's a really good player.

If you like pure aggressive tactics and close-combat... Daemonkin. I've played the heck out of both of these factions. CSM and Daemons will likely continue in some form, but the next may be Tzeentch Daemonkin, a new CSM book or something else entirely.
