				<title>Any fan interpretations of 40k?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ 7th ed is getting stale, and I'm growing tired of the randomness. <br /> I've been playing one page <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span>, and it has been fun, but lacks the crunch of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span>.<br /> Has anybody made their own modified version of the rules? Or a hybridization of older rules to make the game play more dynamic?<br /> Let me know<br /> <br /> Thanks<br /> Austin]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ On a related note - have you tried 2nd ed rules?<br /> <br /> They are fairly different even from 3rd ed on.<br /> <br /> Minus modifiers, psychic card decks, every unit with a different M stat, various forms of armor, hand to hand much more lethal (fumbles and parries <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>LOL</span>) etc etc.<br /> <br /> Well worth a look......]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>Id</span> rather start new with kinda fresh ideas.<br /> <br /> I have a interesting idea of using <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> system as the base for all damage instead of the chart system.<br /> <br /> Having a two numbers both parties know and reaching that number or more instead of referring to charts i think is awesome.<br /> <br /> It also allows for interesting ideas such as over kill and crits to add in spice.<br /> <br /> (aka say a bolter is ST4. enemy is "<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>av</span>" 8. you need a 4+ on a dice to wound him. if you roll 5s and 6s it might do extra things or multiple wounds to a single model)<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> edit: I do not know if another system actually uses that system. its similiar to the DR system in spartan system but <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>id</span> rather use set strengths than number of dice needing +s ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Me and my buddies have been playing round with an new <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> system too. <br /> <br /> Basically the same rules but you mostly use your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> to pen vehicles. <br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> 1 = S9<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> 2 = S8<br /> AP3 = S7<br /> AP4 = S6<br /> AP5 = S5<br /> AP6 = S4<br /> <br /> Anything <br /> S10 and S9 gets +2<br /> S7 & 8 gets + 1 <br /> <br /> On the penetration table <br /> Ordnance gets a +3<br /> Blast gets + 2<br /> Anything S8-10 gets a +1 (but cannot be combined with ordnance or blast buffs). <br /> Template weapons that pen autokill the vehicle. <br /> <br /> Incredibly fluffy rules and a tad complicated to remember it all and not perfect. But for us few armour nerds we had bliss. <br /> <br /> never tried spreading it though, was interesting but we realised it didn't really work. ]]></description>

Some sort of chart is applicable no?</div></blockquote><br /> <br /> Well would have to write out the whole rule. but say figure out to hits in some ways.<br /> but to wound you roll a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>d6</span>. add your weapon <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(171);'>ST</span> to it<br /> <br /> if you match the enemies <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>av</span> or toughness value or any other name you can think of. then you have done a wound. and such. <br /> <br /> no charts needed.<br /> <br /> just need to know your relevant stats. <br /> <br /> edit: Oh and av8 wound be a marine technecly. <br /> <br /> av7 for humans. since roll of a 3+ st4 wound = 7. ]]></description>
