I just finished reading Word Bearers the omnibus by Anthony Reynolds and I thirst for more novels that cover chaos spacemarines in the 40k universe. I was reading some topics about novels on dakkadakka and came up with a list of novels people seem to really like.

I just ordered some second hand books and i think i got my hands full for now but when iám done reading these I wil probably check out that 'Let the Galaxy Burn' collection that sounds great and anything about word bearers and world eaters sounds good.

Seeing as I'm dedicated to Tau, I can suggest "Fire Warrior" by Simon Spurrier. I literally picked it up Saturday morning and did not put it down until Saturday night when it was completed.

The great part about the book is that is gives a lot of exposure to Tau culture and philosophy, but it also has strong appearances by Ultra Marines and Chaos Undivided to keep it grounded in that "grimdark" feel of the 40k universe.

There is copious amounts of violence, a range of appearances of various units like dreadnaughts, raptors, and various demons, and good character development to boot.

Dan Abnett's Eisenhorn and Ravenor trilogies are worth a read - Eisenhorn especially. I'm currently reading A Thousand Sons (McNeill) and Ravenor Returned (Abnett), both of which are good reads.

Generally speaking (and this is fast turning into an echo chamber in here), anything by Dan Abnett, Graham McNeill and Aaron-Dembski Bowdan are quality works of fiction.

If you want some non-HH era Chaos novels, the best ones out there are by Aaron Dembski-Bowden

The Night Lords series.

You can either get Night Lords: The Omnibus (2014), or each one separately, used probably.

Soul Hunter (2010)

Blood Reaver (2011)

Void Stalker (2012)


Edit: I guess you're way ahead of me. After you read those, if you're still interested in Chaos, there is a series that just started for Ahriman.

And yes I love Psyker stuff and if i wasn't so in love with Nurgle i would have an Ahriman 1000 sons army for sure.

If you got the Night Lords Omnibus, you don't need Blood Reaver, Void Stalker, and Soul Hunter. The omnibus is all of them. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the tip but iám not a big fan when it comes to Tau but it does sound interesting.
