However, I was thinking about what would be the "correct" colour of his armour. I'm presuming it should be black rather than blue due to the Council of Nikaea, as Librarians didn't exist in the formal structure of the Legiones Astartes? Green was never a primary color of the Dark Angels in the Great Crusade, but during the RC and HH red, white, and green were used as secondary colors/patterns/highlights.

This is only half true, green was the colour of the marines hailing from caliban and was starting to gain traction in the Legion, while the terrans still wore black, in the larger Legion green wasn't as common however. Aye, I was referring to the primary colour. Always struck me as odd that Cypher is green too.

I believe Isafrael wears blue armor, but he's on Caliban, and probably isolated from the Edict of Nikea.

check the wiki pages for it, there should be a source.
