Thinking about having 2 land raider crusaders and a redeemer in a list with some assault units.. two 15 man crusader squads with chaplains in the crusaders (obviously) and a ten man honor guard squad in the redeemer again with a chaplain but I don't want to play unbound to get the chaplains in the list.. what options do I have?

1 Allied Detachment With 1 chaplain, and go out and buy 1 more troop?

You could also go (if you wanted to be more simple):

1 CAD with 2 chaplains, honor guard, 2 crusader squads, 3 land raiders (in HS)

If I allied in a blood angels detachment and took a chaplain would it still be able to join the black Templar unit? You can have a CAD and an AD which both have the same Chapter Tactic. If he needs 3 detachments then he's probably better off just upgrading the AD to a CAD by buying a squad of bare-naked scouts. A third detachment is gonna cost way more than a 55 point squad.
