				<description><![CDATA[ Hey guys this is my revised 1850 list.  It's meant to be a fully mechanised theme, which will eventually expand to have more mechanised infantry at bigger points levels.  I'm mostly facing <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQ</span> armies and tons of drop pods (not yet sure how to deal with 4 drop pods landing on turn 1), but I'd like it to be a more balanced force so I don't get whining opponents.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(683);'>CAD</span>:<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>:<br /> <br /> Autarch, fusion gun, swooping hawk wings<br /> <br /> Farseer, Jetbike<br /> <br /> <br /> Troops:<br /> <br /> 9 Dire Avengers, Wave serpent, Twin linked Scatter Laser, Shuriken Cannon, Holofields<br /> <br /> 3 Scatbikes<br /> <br /> 3 Scatbikes<br /> <br /> <br /> Fast Attack:<br /> <br /> 2 Hornets, each 2 with 2 pulse lasers<br /> <br /> 1 Hornet 2 pulse lasers<br /> <br /> Phoenix bomber, standard loadout.<br /> <br /> <br /> Heavy Support<br /> <br /> Falcon, Bright Lance, Shuriken Cannon, Holofields<br /> <br /> Lynx, lynx pulsar, holofields, ghostwalk matrix<br /> <br /> <br /> Aspect Host +1BS<br /> <br /> 6 Swooping Hawks including Exarch<br /> <br /> 6 Fire Dragons including Exarch (ride in falcon)<br /> <br /> 5 Warp Spiders<br /> <br /> <br /> Total: 1847pts<br /> <br /> What do you guys think?<br /> <br /> If you were/are a marine player would you think this is tailored or <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>op</span>?  Don't want to take a wraithknight because of the complaining.  Went for the phoenix bomber over the crimson hunter exarch because I love the model, and it seems flexible for 205pts, capable of knocking off a fair few marines a turn but remaining a decent threat to other flyers.  Should I put the hornets in a squad of 3 or keep them split 2/1?  Also not totally sure if I should switch the pulsar to a sonic lance, figured the pulsar would be good for taking out grav centurions, and well most things really.<br /> <br /> In terms of surviving the drop pod alpha strike any tips would be much appreciated.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ My idea on the list would be to go scatter bikes for troops and mech on heavy support and fast attack. <br /> <br /> I see no windrider host formation, so how you got the aspect host?<br /> <br /> Hornets serve best on 2 + 2 but lucking an additional model you can go 2 + 1 so you can have the option to split some of their firepower. <br /> <br /> Ditch the brightlance on the falcon  get a scat laser and a identical additional falcon.<br /> <br /> Lynx is a great tool. I have one and used it on more than one occasions with the lance. It is a great anti bike and anti horde weapon, but I am gonna try it now with the pulsar to see how it works. <br /> <br /> You dont really need holofields on it just spirit stones. If you get hit by something with the potential to blow you up in one shot you jink, otherwise you take the beating, ignore effects with spirits stones and shoot back.<br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

But in a more competitive environment definitely.  I thought about ditching the wave serpent for another falcon, but I can't really find the points, and the objective secured serpent seems pretty sweet.  Also while I love the falcon model I'm not really convinced it brings that much more firepower to the table than the serpent, if at all really.<br /> <br /> Yeah I was thinking of trying the lynx with the pulsar. 				<description><![CDATA[ I would be tempted to drop the falcon for a dedicated wave serpent for the fire dragons so it can benefit from the aspect host. You don't have 3 falcons so you don't lose out on the cloudstrike, whist a wave serpent is more survivable thanks to the serpent shield but loses out of some of the firepower... ]]></description>

Also it seems like the ideal unit to tank some drop pods if I can get off fortune and conceal which shouldn't be too hard.  What do you think?]]></description>
