I even thought about Fabius Bile as HQ (because he is a funny old guy with instant death, and he gives +1 S and fearless to a unit) or a Tzeentch lord (2+/3++ it's cool) with some Thousand Sons

Or get a laser rapier destroyer for nearly half that price.

Or get a sicaran for the price of 3 obliterators.

With that said, you might even consider making that plague marine squad 5 dudes. At 24 points a pop, you better have a plan for every plague marine. Pricey dudes.

I'm looking at your chaos lord. I assume by "situational" you mean his melee weapon? That dude needs a beat-stick. What is it going to be in different situations?

Make sure you shield your single vindicator with the rhinos. That thing will not last very long unless you get lucky and shield it. Try to find points for a second one.
