So I cannot tell you how many CSM lists I see with a single vindicator with no upgrades. Here's why I think you should spend 20 points on daemonic possession and a combi-bolter.

If you take a single penn hit your chance of firing your vindicator's demolisher cannon next round is

AP3+
without daemonic possession: 16.67%
with daemonic possession and attached weapon: 80.56%

AP2
without daemonic possession: 16.67%
with daemonic possession and attached weapon: 66.67%

AP1
without daemonic possession: 16.67%
with daemonic possession and attached weapon: 52.78%

For only 20 points you increase your chances greatly even in the worst case of an AP1 penn hit. So I hope by posting this here I won't have to so much on peoples army lists
