I'd stick with the list as-is. The Sorc's rolling on Biomancy (basically anything except Haemorrhage), Malefic or Telepathy (Shrouding or Invisibility) turns the two Spawn units into fast threats. Would agree with this. Unless there are a lot of flyers these shouldn't be too much of a problem. However, if you're against a gunline (Imperial Guard) army that gets first turn you could be toast before you've had a chance to do anything. Put something a bit tougher in there or hope for cover.
