This forces opponent to have a 5+ reserve roll on turn 2 unless they have 5 flyers, and final turn objective rushes to be in your favor. <br /> <br /> Place the three <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> in Vendettas, with the techpriest riding in the wing leader.<br /> <br /> Gain either <br /> 1. Straight up ignores cover on targets in terrain, <br /> 2. arbitrarily nominate one unit for preferred enemy and +1 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(140);'>vp</span> on its death.<br /> 3. Chance at vector dancer before leaving combat airspace<br /> from wing leader trait<br /> <br /> Park the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(683);'>CAD</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> in the bastion for 2+ rerollable reserves, or alternatively deploy it with the comms relay outside in such a way that line of sight is physically impossible even to a deep striker, with the door facing a table corner. Wrap in plasma. Wait.<br /> Turn 2, ~97% chance all four flyers come on in one roll, open up with ignores cover lascannons from Indomitable Attack Pattern on either bonus <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(140);'>VP</span> target (i.e. a rhino), primary anti air defence, or other high threat target. If opportunity arises, eliminate main anti-infantry resources.<br /> Turn 3, Fortitude pattern to recover from any damage done and stall for either objectives or a better position, clear a primary drop area for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> or eliminate any objective campers<br /> Turn 4, switch to hover or grav chute units to begin securing any table objectives<br /> Turn 5, Hover remaining Vendettas on objectives for ObSec where relevant. Zap/Repair anything so-required.<br /> <br /> Minor details:<br /> Hover transports under DftS are obsec<br /> All 4 vendettas are independent units<br /> 12 twin linked lascannons, with either Trait ignores cover, or Pattern ignores cover with one getting bs4<br /> 12 melta guns with ld9 on 2 lowest of 3 dice for ignores cover, monster hunter etc<br /> 3x <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> with 5+ save to prevent grav from being relevant<br /> Plasma gun troops with +1 cover, on top of stealth(ruins) if gained from a re rollable warlord trait<br /> 4 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(195);'>WC</span> over 4 psykers, all required to take telepathy<br /> Bastions are immune to grav<br /> Second bastion deployment option if Master of the Fleet is ruled to be unable to do his thing within a transport, otherwise no reason not to keep him inside manning a heavy bolter<br /> Techpriest set as warlord unless really high risk of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(805);'>AA</span> for absolutely no chance of the loss of the bastion being important after turn 2.<br /> Astropaths primarily for Psychic Shriek, but invisibility would be a nice bonus<br /> <br /> Turn 1 is obviously the weak point, but without buying a second bastion I don't really see how else to guarantee the air strike. Any suggestions?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Looks like an interesting list idea! seems as though it'd be really strong against some things but weak against others. Particularly anything with a high model count. <br /> <br />  I think your main danger is that people just ignore the fliers and kill off the ground troops. Do you really need the techpriest in the wing leader vendetta? I know it'd be tough to take out, but you have around 250pts invested in 3 twin-linked lascannons worth of damage output in that unit. <br /> <br /> You seem to have a reasonable amount of AP1-2, if I were you I'd drop the tech priest, arm the vets with just an autocannon each and use the savings to get three wyverns to lurk in your backfield and soften up large units before the wing comes in. <br /> <br /> Also, what's that about the fliers getting obsec? Seems pretty strong! ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Onpy problem is Vendetta flyer wings can only  go up to 3 models not 4. So that leaves you with less patterns to use.<br /> <br /> Also you say your forcing your opponent to a 5+ reserve roll and getting yourself a 2+ rerollable. I see where you get the 2+ reroll from but not where the forcing to a5+ for the enemy at the same time.]]></description>

DFTS says wings are 1 to 4 models using the same datasheet, and the remaining forgeworld material is built on that assertion. Since the dangerously overpriced Stormraven is the only common alternative with it, and the valkyrie is a waste of effort in nearly every case, it rarely comes up.]]></description>

I guess the obsec is a strong buff to endgame scoring <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0"><br /> <br /> I guess it depends on the list for the most part regarding damage output. I only say that as a horde-guard player. 9 lascannon hits per turn wouldn't make much of a dent in a mainly infantry based force. A vulture would be a scarier prospect haha]]></description>
