I like it. That's actually a point. Brotherhood of Steel are in the end, HUMANS, wearing power armour. They're not genetically modified superhumans (AKA not space marines). That's part of their ethos - they're 'pure' humans (granted not to Enclave level but still).

Therefore I'd say if you wanted to represent the Brotherhood (and don't care about competitiveness) use the Inquisition Codex, specifically Acolytes with power armour (add special weapons to taste).

See my earlier post, I too thought Space Marines would not be fitting.
