				<description><![CDATA[ Wanting to start <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> and wanted a list to aim for.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>:<br /> Tank commander<br /> Vanquisher<br /> cammo netting<br /> hull lascannon<br /> <br /> Stock Leman Russ<br /> cammo netting<br /> <br /> Troops<br /> Vets<br /> 3xmelta<br /> grenadiers<br /> chimera<br /> <br /> Vets<br /> 3xmelta<br /> grenadiers<br /> chimera<br /> <br /> 690pts<br /> <br /> My thoughts for the last points are drop the hull lascannon and get a wyvern. Have I gone to heavy on anti-tank? <br /> Thanks for the help, you guys have been great in the past.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I would say drop one melta off each squad and add a heavy flamer in its place then drop both grenadier give each vet sarge a bolter and add in the wyvern ..then see how many points are left..(the extra armor just arnt that usefull to melta vets)<br /> Oh yea and some of those extra points can be used for relic plating on the command tank and the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(389);'>BC</span> tank and roll them ..  ]]></description>

Pask with rending shots can pop av14 with a punisher cannon. And has 20 goes at it due to weight of shots. Also I would recommend the Taurox over the chimera, less front <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> but better turret weapon and an extra fire point over the chimera. Cheaper point wise as well.<br /> <br /> I would recommend this:<br /> <br /> Pask<br /> Leman Russ Punisher<br /> -Lascannon<br /> -Multi-Melta Sponsons - 210<br /> <br /> Leman Russ Executioner<br /> -Lascannon<br /> -Plasma Sponsons – 195<br /> <br /> 10 Vets<br /> -3 Grenade Launchers<br /> -Taurox - 125<br /> <br /> 10 Vets<br /> -3 Grenade Launchers<br /> -Taurox - 125<br /> <br /> Wyvern – 65<br /> <br /> 750<br /> <br /> With pask and an executioner, you don’t need melta of the vets.<br /> <br /> Hope this helps<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I'm muchly in the "pask isn't worth it" camp for the simple reason that his 30pts are going to have more reliable results spent on two plasma cannons.<br /> <br /> instead, being a minor adjustment to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>OP</span>'s list:<br /> Tank Commander, <br /> Punisher <br /> Pcannon Sponsons <br /> <br /> Paired Leman Russ Eradicator (ignores cover)<br /> Erad <br /> Heavy Bolter Sponsons<br /> ----340<br /> <br /> Troops<br /> Vets<br /> 3xmelta<br /> grenadiers<br /> chimera<br /> --- 170<br /> <br /> Vets<br /> 3xmelta<br /> grenadiers<br /> chimera <br /> --- 170<br /> <br /> Techpriest <br /> Servitors x3<br /> --- 70<br /> <br /> The priest is not so much for his repair ability but his Power of the Machine spirit rule, which effectively allows you to attack 3 different targets with your heavy investment on the tank commander. (tank orders for split fire, and then <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(470);'>POTMS</span> for a turret gun) - or still shoot something when you've been stunned.<br /> <br /> Double executioners can work wonders, but keep in mind that plasma sponsons fire *separately* from the main gun, so you'll always have either fewer hits from the plasma sponsons, or fewer from the main gun as a result of your first volley. Something to mop up the survivors (i.e. 3x heavy bolter) is often desirable, or just save your points for something else.<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I have a couple of disagreements with earlier made points, but to each their own, right?<br /> <br /> - Though I think Pask may not be that great on certain <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> chassis like the Ordnance and Vanquisher variants, having many shots that use <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> like the Exterminator and infamous Pasknisher, especially with Crack Shot and Rending, makes for some borderline cheesy shooting.<br /> <br /> - I always take the 4+ armor on *mechanized* vets.  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> dedicated transports are rather fragile, and prone to exploding (in my experience), and with the strength of the explosion increased to 4 against passengers, vets are going to take a lot of wounds.  Unless you're comfortable with potentially removing half or more of your vet unit the same moment you remove your Chimera, I'd take the improved armor save to hopefully keep a few extra bodies to soak up shots later (at which time 4+ armor is great against most small arms fire!)]]></description>

I'd rather have the opponent get lucky with his saves than me be unlucky with my hits. If your opponent is competent as you say, then you're still going to get two hits average factoring in minimum coherency. If *you* are competent with the use of tank shock to force him to bunch up, suddenly the pcannon becomes crazy good.<br /> <br /> The strength of the (armoured) guard is "we have more templates than you have models" <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0"><br /> <br /> ]]></description>
