I just got my first unit of Rubrics and I'm not really sure how to equip/upgrade them.

Should I get the heavy weapon? Should I upgrade some of them with the flamers? Is the flame icon worth taking? And so on

I was thinking about that but was not sure of my magnetizing acumen to do so and make sure they aligned.
