I will be updating this log simultaneously with my GCPS Warpath blog. It will chart my painting of various fantasy items from 6mm to 28mm.

Current projects:

1. 1/72 Lord of the rings
2. Kings of war elves
3. Kings of war undead
4. Kings of war salamanders
5. General 1/72nd fantasy

To begin, pictures of some newly painted knights of the citadel on foot. My camera on my phone is acting up and I don't know why. Sorry for the quality.







Yes I know my freehand is crap, but they are really tiny figures.

Combined armies of the free people's of middle earth:

13th century knights = guards of the citadel
13th century knights with teutonic headswap and possible greenstuff capes = fountain court guard
Medievals with spears, swords, bows = warriors of Gondor
Scots = axemen of lossanarch
German cav = Rohan
Russian knights = Rohan kings household
El Cid Iberians = something Gondor

Combined forces of the dark Lord sauron

Dunlendings = alliance Cimmerians
Orcs and uruk hai = alliance sets
Armored trolls = alliance sets
Arabs = haradrim
Armored Muslim warriors = easterlings

General fantasy:

Republican Romans = basilean counts as, with God's and mythical creatures Elohi, etc
Cimmerians with a different paint scheme = varangur
Arcane legions stuff:
Romans = abyssal dwarves/frozen north scheme
Egyptians = undead, not empires of dust. This is because I'll mix in Caesar skeletons
Han = elves/ terracotta army
I've got ideas if a cross between alliance Amazon's and historical Greeks as trident realms with a blue skin paint scheme.

Furthermore, I dug out some of my untouched dark alliance half orcs. In addition to my pikemen, which I found out had paint peeling, are now in a paint stripping bath.






Once again I apologise for the bad pictures. My phone is good but I haven't properly researched cleaning yet. I also know I need to build a light box, but family needs come first.

Also, yes the belts are not fully picked out on the knights. I've decided to do a bi-weekly update on the current state of my 1/72 project. Starting today with the forces of darkness.

Pictures above, we have 1 horde of pikemen painted awaiting basing, some warriors painted, and a crossbowmen troop in the midst of being based. The crossbowmen may or may not make it into the 2000 PT list. Either way, I will be batch painting bases in groups of 3 to save time.

Also pictured, my two ballistae arrived from eccentric Miniatures. With a little conversion they will fit right in.

Not pictured, I have two mumakil from harad being worked on. They are the basic elephant toys I mentioned earlier, with scratch built howdahs and greenstuff. I'm waiting on an order from the UK and a care package from a friend in Europe to add crew.

I'm also waiting on an order of more half orcs that will fill gaps in my 2k list. The army as I have it worked out is coming along. Cab have been started, progress on the mumakil, and most of the remaining infantry/cab for 2k are on the painting table.

I have a few infantry left to put on stands for painting, and I really only have to build the two ballistae and a couple hero conversions.

Pics as follows: howdah and other mumakil business, then saruman on a warg, then the current painting conga lineup.

thanks guys! I really appreciate it and it inspires me to keep going. everything for 2k except the two ballistae is painted and based, photos below. next up is the ballistae and then haradrim on foot! that is if the dark lord zeus allows me out of the kitchen!
