Update on the mumakil

Finished mumakil sans base.

I like him! Particularly i like the head painting.

I love stuff like that Elephant/oliphant.

Works really well, looks convincing. Any convincingness lost by the less of detail of smaller scale is made up by the convincingness of mass numbers.

thanks guys! I really appreciate it and it inspires me to keep going. everything for 2k except the two ballistae is painted and based, photos below. next up is the ballistae and then haradrim on foot! that is if the dark lord zeus allows me out of the kitchen!

One month and 19 days nets me 2k painted and based. On to haradrim.

These two stands of spearmen and the bowmen bring me to 301 Miniatures equivalency painted for the year so far.

Love to see the progress. The shields on the spearmen (especially the red and blue) are looking very good considering the scale.

Painting Gondorians while boardgaming

I meant to respond to the earlier question, well, earlier, but yes i think it would be neat to see 28mm stuff as well.

I finished 42 Miniatures total last night, from bare plastic through primer and then painting.

Excellent stuff slightly surprised at the fact you've painted the Hardrim as caucausians however I'd have gone for a middle eastern skin tone.

I suppose I could have darkened them with a wash. I only have a buddy Caucasian skin tone available currently.
