GW still has some silly laws/regulations/limitations. That means that if another country is selling beyond the discount of 15% (the new standard GW just applied to the US retailers who can now actually list product on their website) there is probably a stipulation that European store/distributor cannot ship internationally to the US etc.

GW store in Glasgow regularly gets Americans who come over on holiday or whatever, buy in bulk, and ship back to wargaming stores in the US on commission. This is actually cheaper than the alternative. I can confirm, went into the said store just a few days ago and was a squad of Yanks buying enormous orders.
