What do you guys think of Frontline Gaming?

Heard of them through Reddit and Discord, saw some of their work here on the forums as well. I would just like to know if anyone here who has taken up their commission work in the past can share their experiences with me? The Painting manager called Jason tends to be slower on communication throughout the commission process as I would have like; I haven't heard back on a reply that was over a week ago, and that makes me nervous as a client. Would this be their normal M.O. even during January? If so, are there other commission services that is recommended that can provide consistent communication?

They are fair, I used to work for them as a commission painter for about a yr. They have a thing called the LVO in Feb(las vegas open, bigger tourney in the world) where there are 800 or so players in a tournament, that is why your response is very slow atm.

They act as a middleman in arranging clients to their 20+ or so commission painters world wide, you can typically buy stock from them at a discount or send in your good assembled minis to them and they will send it out to their painters.

Would Brushforhire on Reddit be a better source for commission work since it cuts out the middleman?

with commissions, you really have to look around for their portfolio, inquiry for a detailed quote, and compare around what's best for your budget. Usually anyone worth a damn is booked, so expect to wait, but you shouldn't just trust them by sending your whole army over, I would suggest a test unit here and there from your not so important models to feel out the artist's talent and style, if one match what you're looking for, then invest in your army.

I do commissions, but atm am booked till Mar/April, then I need to pack for moving in June, once settled in July I may have some time slot to do some demos if you're still looking.

you can see my gallery here for examples, and also on my imgur here:
https://imgur.com/user/macknight

You want to check the Dakka Swap Shop forum for some available commission artists(pin thread at top in the forum, I know its a weird place for it), and look out for bad reviews concerning certain members/commission studios/artists.

This one for example, it looked like it was resolved.

https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/766266.page#10218164

There was another way back about brush_slip, that was unresolved as far as I know; and of course there is the infamous thread about BTP(blue table painting). I'm bring them up to your attention to help potential patrons navigate the waters.
