Suitable models for AoW: Planetfall factions in 40K?

Hello guys,

My favourite video game right now is a turn based sci-fi strategy game named AoW Planetfall. Despite my love for the 40K setting, Planetfall becomes more and more attractive due to the fact that there is no faction bloat.

Just recently a thought struck my mind that it would be nice to have a small force of some Planetfall factions in my mini collection. So this thread should be seen as a brainstorming session which models could be used/kitbashed to represent the factions in the video game.

Note: The models don't need to adhere slavishly to the design of the video game. If a new idea is presented that doesn't clash with the theme it will be okay. Let's go.

Assembly:
Zombie cyborgs infamous for using organic body parts of their foes to heal injuries. Theme is body horror just like the Borg from Star Trek.

Models: WHFB Zombies, IoM Servitors, SM heads with steel skulls, Iron Hands upgrade sprue in particular, Ork Dreadnought, new Necron three-legged walker, etc.

Amazons:
Warrior culture in which each individual has been bioengineered in a test tube to create the best soldier that their science is capable of producing. Amazons appear as tall, buff MMA fighters. Theme is a mix of wood elves and the aliens from Avatar. They also use bioengineered animals for warfare like giant winged reptiles and T-Rexes with linked las cannons.

Models:
WHFB Witch Elves and Necromunda Eschers. Problem is that the proposed models convey a sense of agility rather than strength. WHFB Dragons.

Kir'ko:
Insectoids with a caste system. Majority of it's members are humanoid but others are large real life insects like dragonflies or gigantic beetles. Theme is a swarm of bugs which doesn't use mechanized vehicles like all the other faction have at their disposal.

Models:
Idk. The Tyranids just don't look the part.

Dvar:
Soviet space dwarves clad in sealed metal armour. Theme is industrialized exploitation of a planet's resources. They also goof around a bit like Orks because their jets are build for ramming and their scout vehicles can force opponents to inhale their exhausts.

Models:
Maybe AoS Dwarves. Haven't looked at their model range yet. Space Crusade Chaos Dreadnought as Walker, Space Wolf (?) Ramship (?) and Leman Russ Battle Tank.

Syndicate:
Slave traders which look like purple-skinned humans. Theme is being sleek, tidy, wealthy and greedy.

Models:
Cadian Guardsmen as Slaves, Eldar or Dark Eldar as Overseer.

Vanguard:
Space Marines without religious baggage and genetic enhancements. Theme is being the human faction with which a person can very easily identify himself as.

Models:
SM Infantry though avoid any units which are geared for close combat. SM Bikes, Baneblade and Imperial Knight.

Any further suggestions?

I like this game too, but its factions don't have real counterparts to 40k.

And I'd say the Vanguard is more of an IG and Tau mix than SM. No one there uses power armor...

Dvar would be AWESOME Demiurg, on the other hand. Personally, it's what comes to my mind whenever I read or hear 'Demiurg'.

No one there uses power armor...

Dvar would be AWESOME Demiurg, on the other hand. Personally, it's what comes to my mind whenever I read or hear 'Demiurg'.

Vanguard Troopers wear a suit which would have power armour rules in 40K. It's too bulky to represent carapace armour.

No counterpart with 40K factions? Have to disagree with some factions:

Kir'ko = Tyranids
Dvar = Orks
Syndicate = Dark Eldar
Vanguard = Space Marines

Kir'ko have a hivemind and work best in swarms because they benefit of the SR "Swarm Shield".

Dvar are used for comic relief with their Ramships and Prospectors. Their playstyle also differs from the Vanguard in such that they prefer to engage their opponent head on like Orks and not sit back like the humans of the Vanguard.

Syndicate uses stealth and subterfuge. They also have slaves. If the devs would have used such traits for an upcoming release of the next AoW fantasy line for the Dark Elves it would have hit the nail on the head.

Vanguard are more akin to SM than Imps because their specific colony upgrade allows units to accumulate XP thus turning them into elite units which is a trademark of SM. See also my above statement about the visual aspect. Imps on the other hand are marketed in 40K as an army consisting of lots and lots of infantry and such a horde trait is already attributed by the Kir'ko.

This would leave only the Assembly and the Amazons without a strong counterpart of relatable 40K factions. I think the Eldar Exodites are riding lizards too but that would be the only resemblance.
