So tomorrow it looks like a Dark Angel dataslate (Or Warlord of the Dark Millennium article) and a Brazen Claws BL story piece. (Thought it was the Emperor's Children Legion symbol initially).
It'll be interesting to see if there is any overlap between the two as the current status of the Brazen Claws looks to be unknown and I wouldn't put it past the Dark Angels to kill a fellow chapter if they ever found out the truth.

The Unrelenting Hunt contains new background and rules for the Strikeforce of Company Master Balthasar of the Dark Angels. This Dataslate is designed to be used alongside the Dark Angels miniatures included in the Dark Vengeance boxset, with a few additions in the form of more Terminators, bikers and the formidable air support of a Ravenwing flyer.
Please note, a copy of Codex: Dark Angels is required in order to use this formation.

THE STORY
The Brazen Claws’ long penitent crusade in the Eye of Terror saw them face all manner of foes, both mortal and daemonic. As the crew of the Cold Roads battle the servants of Slaanesh, Techmarine Llir is forced to make a decision that could save the crew of the beleaguered vessel… or damn them all.

Most likely not.
Seems to be just DV + DV Exp Formation. And since those two are pretty bad in itself the formation won't cut it.
But, hell, it's our first Dataslate!
Confirmed.
It's the units from DV and DV Exp as a Formation.
Gives everyone Hatred (CSM) and relentless.
Reroll failed charges and autopass all LD tests in 12".
So, unless you're a new beginner (which DV is aimed at) this "dataslate" does nothing at all. Barely a page of "fluff" to boot. Save your money.

Erm how is relentless not a great skill. For tacticals it is one of the best things to have. The ability to move and fire blast weapons is SO brilliant, and also assault with it. Also rapid fire all the the time. As i almost have everything from that, it might tempt me enough to get it.

The problem is that they're the only squad in formation to benefit from it. Everything else is on a bike or in TDA, so already has it.

Theres no new special charecters in Kranon's HellGuard, unless there's another supplement I missed?
I don't think it's the worst set of rules, everyone gets Fear (sigh) and Stubborn. Enemies within 12" of a unit get -1LD enemies within 12" of 2 or more units from the detachment get -1 BS. I think it's miles better than the D.A supplement because most of the required units in the chaos supplements are ok? I mean I know C.S.M Land Raiders aren't awesome and not everyone loves chosen but they're O.K units? ( I don't even mind taking a hellbrute).
I'll post what units you have to take when I get home as long as thats not breaking any rules? (It's Dark Vengence + Expansion box)

I have been following the advent calender releases closely this year. So far although the ebooks for shield of baal are quite interesting and accompanying some ebooks with mission packs is a decent idea I could not convince myself to buy any these products yet.
Into Be'lakor and Cypher was put some effort. This time most releases seem to be taken from either a supplement or a painting guide or stuff released anyway as mini-dlc (like the index astartes stuff). I would buy some of the Shield of Baal stories if they are released in a printed compilation.

DA Dataslate is a conclave of Librarians.
It's Ezekiel + 2-4 Librarians...
It basically allows any psyker to use the powers of another psyker within 12'' (locking anyone used this way out from actually casting themselves), to manifest powers at 3+ and doubles the range on Mind Worm.

THE STORY
One of the Fallen, the Dark Angels who betrayed their oaths and turned on their brothers, relives his past under the psychic interrogation of Chief Librarian Ezekiel. But with treachery and falsehood in his nature, nothing the Fallen says can be trusted – does Ezekiel hold the key to unlocking the truth and discovering the warrior’s role in the fall of Caliban?
LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE
Half truths, rituals of mistrust and layers of deception – it could only be a new Dark Angels story from Gav Thorpe. Is this a glimpse into the fabled fall of ancient Caliban, or just a pack of lies from a deranged madman? You'll have to listen and decide for yourself.

Grim Psychic Might
The Librarians of the Dark Angels possess wills of iron. They use their sinister psychic discipline of interromancy to spread fear and panic through the enemy's ranks, while simultaneously tearing free the darkest secrets of their foes. A single such psychic warrior is fearsome enough, but an entire conclave led by none other than Grand Master Ezekiel himself is a living weapon that can change the fate of a whole war zone.

That's actually not bad, especially when you consider that Dark Angels get access to Telepathy. Attach the formation to a 5 man squad of Sternguard in a pod and you've got a recipe for excellent psychic shenanigans.

Only shame is, the barebones slate costs 920 pts for the hq, 4 csm units with khorne mark and 4 zerker squads, so you're gonna have to play a -large- game to make it worth it.

...unless you already play khorne-heavy, in which case it could be fairly fun to play attached to a force that wasn't so one-note. for a full army and some bonuses for fluffitude.
