If I remember correctly, there were templates on VK a long time ago that were very detailed. However, not quite as good as the ones you have posted.

I'm creating my own 3d models and templates for my titans and suites, so I can make them as detailed as possible

I love this thread. I made two companies of my armored Regiment this way and built a Super-Heavy Baneblade.

3ds max for basic 3d model, pepakura designer for basic template and autocad for final templates, detailing and instruction creation

Really impressive work. I've dabbled in paper models over the years, but your stuff is a cut above for sure!

Do you use a Cricut or similar device to cut the card for your models?

These are very impressive paper builds. I'm also curious what software/tools you use to cut these pieces.

Nope, everything is hand cutted

Modelling knife, cutting mat, metallic ruler and a needle for making strait bends easier. As im my video in my previous answer.

Amazing work and paintjob, too! Im really curious about the durability of painted paper/cardstock. I assume you gave those a few layers of varnish, right?

When my son accidentally threw a ball to the shelf with models and knight porphyrion fell on the table (about 1.5m free fall), he looked like this:

So yeah, these little paper guys are durable 😁
And i really need to start using varnish, so it will be easier to clean them up

That's really great papercraft. I used to deign some for terrain use, but nothing that detailed.

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of paper are you using? 250 gsm? It looks like there is a much heavier paper too, chipboard? Are you using any plasticard?

180-200 gsm whatman paper, but most of details are underglued with 0.5-1.0 mm cardboard, than covered with cyanoacrylate and slighly polished

And finaly i added rivets and considering model ready to painting

Thanks for the answer. The cyanoacrylic coating explains the sheen I see in the photos. With the rise of the 3d printing. papercrafting is getting even rarer than it already was. It's good to see you keeping it alive.

Papercraft is more like hobby to keep me mentally ok in these hard times. I dont play tabletop, i dont really need these things but, i like this relaxing process.

I have not had very good luck when trying to paint over paper.

Have you considered uploading your images directly to the gallery rather than as attachments? That would make them more searchable and people could vote on them, put them on the front page etc.
