  I'd hazard a guess that he is rising from the sand.  Very cool indeed.

  Actually, it's a pool of muddy water. Not easy to capture it with photography, especially when using sunlight... a yellow directional light source is not recommended for miniature photography, but I go with it when snapping my TK so as to give a warm appearance.

  richardrijneveen asks how I made it. The body is a Bone Giant. The arms are two left (or was it right?) arms from the same kit, cut apart and re-pinned into shape. The hands and tail are from a Screaming Skull Catapult. The head is a discontinued Lord of Change head, with some Green Stuff work to give it a bulkier jawbone and neck. There's pins running all the way up the legs - and poking through the Green Stuff 'water' into the chest - to bear the model's weight.
