"Ghoul Trees" have a symbiotic relationship with the ghost grass that grows in their midst. The Ghost grass gives off enticing soporific spores that lure the weak into the grove with the promise of comfort and fulfillment, but once in the grove's grasp the Ghoul trees shower their enchanted victims with dissolving enzimes. The mewling sludge is then absorbed over the course of weeks through the plants' root system. Ghoul Tree Groves are inexplicably always full of the half-rotted foolish. The weak are ever driven to their doom by the temptations of the poisonous. |
