Strengths

• Keep that Field Generator Running: A Myrmidon without its Field Generator loses multiple abilities, especially the all-important force field. Use an Arcanist to Repair that system above all others.
• <Myrmidon Enhancement: Increase the damage output of a melee myrmidon or grant focus to a Marshaled Myrmidon.

Weaknesses

• Needs protection: As a single wound solo, any attack, direct or otherwise, will remove him from the table. Plus, his role means he should be within 6" of a myrmidon, which is usually where the fighting is fiercest.

Synergies

• Adeptis Rahn: Keep those important arc nodes alive with the Repair Ability.
• Dawnlord Vyros: Power Booster can help Vyros manage the focus strain, freeing him to use focus for Mobility, while Concentrated Poewr will increase all its melee damage rolls.
• Ravyn, Eternal Light: Use Power Booster to ease the Focus burden off of Ravyn. Make sure to grant it to models that benefit from the expenditure of a single Focus point, such as the Griffon, Gorgon, or even a Manticore looking to deal one devastation Combo Strike.
• Chimera: Use Power Booster in place of allocating a Chimera Focus in order to allow it to run or increase its defense against ranged and magic attack rolls.
• Gorgon: Repair the Gorgon with an eye toward keeping its Field Generator running so that it can maintain its denial abilities.
• Griffon:Gain the use of Fleet even when the warjack is 'Jack Marshaled by using the Arcanist's Power Booster.
• Hydra: Concentrated Power makes the Hydra a bit more respectable in melee combat with two attacks at P+S 16.
• Manticore: Concentrated Power increases the Manticore's Fists to P+S17. In conjunction with Force Generator, a Manticore can deal straight damage to a Khadoran Heavy.
• Phoenix: Though you lose the benefit of its Arc Node and Phoenix Field by Marshalling it, the Scyir and Arcanist can make the Phoenix surprisingly versatile by giving it focus and driving it to reroll its main attack. In addition, the Phoenix will get to crash through the Sentinels due to Coordinated Strike.
• Dawnguard Invictors, Dawnguard Sentinels, Scyir: Enhance 'Jack Marshals by Power Boosting or using Concentrated Power on their myrmidons.
• House Shyeel Magister: When convenient, use Whip Snap to deliver the Arcanist closer to the front lines when needed to repair the army's myrmidons.
