Why I Started This Army
Marine-equivalent armies are everywhere. Just last weekend I watched a 12-player Rogue Trader Tournament with 1 Eldar, 2 Sisters of Battle, nine Space Marine or Chaos Space Marine players! I want to play something different, so I pondered on what I wanted to play. Having just sold off a mutant-heavy Lost and the Damned army, I decided that shooting seemed to be the way to go. I'd taken a crack at painting Tau a few years back and hated the results, so I figured it was time to give it another go.
Mech Tau is the most prevalent build, so I went with a semi-mechanised theme. I also decided that markerlights would feature prominently into my list (I've got eleven) and just filled in the gaps after that.
