The nobs still get their 5+ INV save and 4+ FNP save versus the redeemer template. They can place the failed wounds around since it's a complex unit.

if a redeemer moves over 6" it cant fire its cannon, thereby nullifying the whole point of driving it close. If you just want to assault out of it, take a crusader to fit more termies.

Either way, as stated before, the redeemer flamer will not do a lot to the bikers in the first place.
