Good Morning Dakka,
I have been very much occupied recently in concept designs, web build and lastly building up the beta terrain for Spire9 - I am still up in the air on the legality side of things such as intellectual property and copyright and all that other fun stuff, so until I have that aspect securely locked down I will not be showing any pics on that topic. My apologies.
On the topic, I will say that the terrain has changed rather dramatically, whilst the spires will make up the majority of terrain, I am currently working on the ducting and sewers that will run under them and allow for closer and more hand to hand combat situations.
Onto the questions.
Nico Rex the vagrant trader is still very much on my mind, and as the terrain fills in around him he will be re-emerge no doubt. I do have some select model tucked away to fill in as his hired hands. However the model himself will be switched out for something that has a better scale. So, if anyone want to cover post I will be happy to send him off in his current state to whomever replies with an expression of interest first.
Which mini is Ahab. Ahab is the modified priest with the Chainsword lance and metal arm - he alike the Ogryn fail to meet the military feel of the team, so I have decided to sell him on. 10AUD + postage for anyone interested, and he is sold as is.
Regarding P&M
I do have a small update to the Hunde
des Kriegs which is the replacement for the converted replacement for the Ogryn model, I am very pleased to introduce the AugRIN.
"Augment Robotic Infantry" or AugRIN for short is the stand in for the half cast Ogryn, and is by and large a more suitable replacement both in theme of the Hunde
des Krieg, as well as the general tactic of the hive, as Anung un Rama touched on in jest (shakes fist) the converted Ogryn was truly impressive in stature - but stature is not a good thing in Necromunda.
Here's the model breakdown.
The primary weapon is shortened Heavy Bolter salvaged from a
SM Devastator being fed ammo from the corresponding backpack. The secondary weapons are from some scouts that I had laying around. The forearm guard is a Tau shoulder plate and the head visor is from the Rackham games - the model name escapes me so if someone could throw me a bone I will update accordingly. The core of the model is an Armored APE from Incursion - when I received it, it was a little 1940's so I curved off the armour in points and burred out some of the more steam punk elements to give it a more modern feel. I took a page out of Acidwap's book and spent some cash on some more interesting bases, and even in a non painted state it matches nicely.
I have magnetized the right side of the ammo skip, the neck, a head and the head visor - in turn this allows me to put the model into a "Non-fight mode" with the visor latches onto the ammo skip and the iconic Pig Iron Militia head sits nicely in place, and solidifies the visual connection to the other members of the Hunde
des Kriegs.
I am still up in the air with what to do with the Converted Ogryn, I will most likely be selling him - but he is sentimental so I may need some time to be 100% on it. Feel free to shoot me offers anyhow, as I'd like to get an idea of what he's worth.
Outside of all this I am working on some veteran gangers for the team who will be carrying more specialised weaponry and equipment, but they are still in the chop and
tac stage, so there's not much to show on that front. I will have some pics shortly though, so watch this space.
Once again, thank you all so much for reading, and for the feedback. Solid feedback helps me out immensely.
